For those of you who have specifically asked for gluten-free recipes… this recipe was created just for you!
And those of you who aren’t gluten-free? This recipe is for you, too. It doesn’t contain any specialty ingredients (because I realize that not everyone keeps xantham gum in their pantry), and no one will ever guess these soft, fragrant muffins don’t contain any wheat. My family can’t get enough of them!
Guest post from Brigette Shevy Valentine’s Day is an all-day celebration at our house! My children spend hours making table and wall decorations, writing homemade cards, and dreaming up red-and-pink-themed menus (not all of which are actually usable/edible!). We like to start the day off with a special breakfast – and these hearty, filling pancakes [...]

I’ve tried – and liked – many different granola recipes over the years, but this is my go-to recipe every single Christmas. Packaged with a Christmas bow and cutesy label, it makes a perfect homemade gift for teachers, neighbors and friends. In fact, certain of my family members and friends have come to expect (demand??) this granola from me every December!
It’s Pumpkin Week here and we’re starting things off with this new-to-us Pumpkin Oatmeal recipe. It was very simple to make — and it was very filling, too. Best of all, it is packed with lots of nutrition… the perfect way to start off a crisp Fall morning.
I did a quick freezer cooking session last night while making food to take to our church’s covered dish supper. I was in a bit of a hurry and a little scatter-brained since I got a late start, but within 35 minutes I managed to pull together five different dishes to take to the church supper plus make some barbecued meatballs and homemade instant oatmeal packets for the freezer.

This thick, creamy, refreshing shake is the perfect recipe for the long, hot summer afternoons. It’s a healthy version of “Pina-Colada meets Orange Julius,” combining some of my all-time favorite flavors.

I don’t know about you, but there’s just something about getting in a serving of vegetables at breakfast that makes me happy. It gives me a sense of accomplishment by 8am.
For our Frugal Family Fun project today we made Red, White, & Blue Waffles. It was so simple to do — and a fun way to be a little patriotic. If you need an easy and festive breakfast for the Fourth of July, you could adapt this idea for tomorrow morning — or any morning [...]
Looking for a fun, festive and healthy way to kick off your Fourth of July celebration tomorrow morning? You can’t go wrong with this colorful smoothie!
Even though this red, white and blue smoothie can be enjoyed all year round, there’s no better time than right now at the peak of berry season. I prep the fresh fruit and stick it in the freezer overnight so that it’s all ready to go in the morning.
Guest post from Michelle of The Willing Cook Crystal shared a very popular freezer cooking challenge in May with “regular” food. However, a number of readers have requested allergy-friendly recipes as well. That’s where I come in. For the next three days, I’ll be sharing an allergy-friendly freezer cooking recipe each day. All three recipes will [...]
