It’s Monday and guess what that means? That means it’s time for our weekly deep-cleaning project! Every Monday morning this year, I’ll be assigning us all a deep-cleaning project to tackle (well, that is, if want to join us!)
Today’s project is to deep clean your refrigerator. I’m headed to the grocery store later today and know our fridge could use some deep-cleaning before I put the new groceries in it.
Here’s my plan for this morning:
- Bible reading/journaling
- Blogging/Business work
- Breakfast/Morning Time
- School with Silas
- Chores/quick house clean up, start a load of laundry
- Clean out fridge
- Get girls started on their independent work
- Run/shower
- Pick up my room/make bed
- Ready to go — lunch made — head to work at our office space
This evening, I’ll share a post about how my morning well and give you an update (with pictures) on how my fridge-cleaning project went.
Need some motivation? Check out my post on 10 Ways to Make Cleaning More Fun.
Want to join me? Leave a comment to let us know you’re participating! If you have time, tell us what your morning plan is, too.

Fridge and Microwave both need to be addressed in my kitchen! 🙂

I am going to be cleaning the kitchen today, but concentrating on the microwave. My son burnt popcorn yesterday in the microwave and the whole house smells like bad. Thank goodness it’s warm enough today to open the windows. 🙂

I cleaned out my fridge yesterday and only have the produce drawer to wash. Sadly, I threw away a lot of spoiled food.
I just found out I that have many food intolerances (grains, dairy, eggs, bananas, etc.), and it got me really sad and frustrated so I stopped cooking. I am starting to figure out some easy recipes, but will only buy the ingredients I need so nothing goes to waste.

This is so crazy because this is my project of the week! I did a few shelves today, but that is as far as I got so far. I have a really easy way of cleaning all the shelves. I wonder if we’ll do it the same way 😉 Guess I’ll have to check back to see!
