If you’re pregnant or adopting and plan to create an Amazon Baby Registry, don’t miss out on this great FREEBIE — a FREE Welcome Box!
What is the Amazon Welcome Baby Box?
If you’re planning on creating a baby registry, be sure to take advantage of the freebies that registries give new moms!
Amazon offers a completely FREE Welcome Box packed with goodies when you sign up for a baby registry. They do this to entice you to sign up and get your registry started.
You only have to order $10 of items from your registry to qualify, so it’s totally worth doing to get a FREE gift pack! Why not?!
When I received my FREE welcome box from Amazon and was so impressed with it! And it was super easy to do. I just signed up for it, set up my registry, added some items to the registry, and ordered at least $10 worth of items from the registry.
When we were collecting things for our baby stockpile, I wanted to have a bulk package of wipes. So I found a deal on them, added these to the registry, and then purchased them off the registry — thus qualifying for the free Amazon Baby Welcome Box. (Psst! I used an Amazon gift card I had earned for free from Swagbucks to pay for it!)

Looks like you now have to be a prime member to get this? Any way around that?
Jordan says
You can try signing up for the free Prime Trial and then cancel the trial before it charges your card. I hope that helps! -Jordan, MSM Team

Hi! I went through all the steps and it says it costs $35.
How do you get it free?
Thanks!
Crystal Paine says
Make sure you’ve completed all of the steps and received the checkmark on your account saying so. When you go to checkout, it should take off the price on the last page.
Jordan says
Did you purchase $10 worth of items of your registry? You have to do that before you can get the free welcome box. I hope that helps! -Jordan, MSM Team
Nicole says
My daughter did this and when she went to get her box it says that it costs $35.00
Crystal Paine says
Did she make sure to finish the checklist? If so, it should say she’s eligible for the free box and it will take off the $35 when you go to the last page on checkout. Let me know if that doesn’t work.

According to what I found when signing up, you actually have to become a Prime member also.😔

You could try signing up for the free trail. That might work! -Jordan, MSM Team

Is it just a $10 purchase anyone buys from the registry or do you personally have to buy $10 worth of stuff?
Crystal Paine says
It’s $10 purchased from your registry — so anyone could purchase it! I just personally did it because I wasn’t planning to share our registry with anyone. 🙂

This box is totally hit or miss. The first time I got it I was extremely disappointed. It had a bunch of sample sized baby lotions/soaps, maybe one snack bar, a coconut water drink and then all sorts of coupons. That was it. The second time I got it it was so full of goodies I was astounded! I got a blanket, two onsies, a dr. Browns bottle, wipes and many other useful things! Made up for the first disappointing box.
Crystal Paine says
Thank you for mentioning this! Everyone I’ve heard from recently who has gotten it has been pretty happy with it. So maybe they have been sending better boxes recently??

I wonder if it would be okay to do this if you’re a foster parent? We’re in the middle of getting licensed. I’ve never had a kid before and I’d love to try stuff out first. I made an Amazon Wishlist but not a registry. Hmm…
Sharyn says
Sara, I’m also in the process of getting licensed to foster and thought of the same thing. I probably won’t have a baby but I could still use some of the items and donate the others. Good luck with the licensing! It’s so exciting!
Crystal Paine says
You could ask Amazon live chat to be sure. I’m not sure if it’s allowed or not so I don’t want to speak for them.

I got the same blanket and onesie. Love them both! I’m also excited about the single load of Dreft. I use unscented for our family, but I would love to wash all the baby things, just once, in Dreft, and now I can without spending any money 🙂
Crystal Paine says
I am excited to wash the baby clothes/blankets in the Dreft! It’s on my list for this coming week!
