My Experience With Essential Oils
As you’ve probably heard me mention many times in the past, I love using essential oils. I love using them for cleaning, for diffusing, for helping me feel more calm, to help me feel more energetic, for aches and pains, and for warding off sickness.
I don’t sell them and I’m not brand loyal, because I like various oils from different brands. It’s fun to be able to pick and choose my favorites from among many brands — because there are so many great brands out there!
When Rocky Mountain Oils contacted me about trying out some of their essential oils, I was super excited to try out a new brand of oils — especially one that I had already heard great things about. For the past few months, we’ve been trying out a number of different oils from them and I have to say that I’ve been super impressed with this company and feel like I can wholeheartedly endorse them.
Tip: Do you struggle with anxiety? Try mixing a few drops of each of these oils with a little coconut oil and rubbing them on the bottom of your feet at night. I love this blend of oils!
Why I Love Rocky Mountain Oils
If you’re looking for really honest reviews of Rocky Mountain Oils, I’m here to tell you I’ve really grown to love this brand of essential oils! And here’s why…
1. They Offer High-Quality Oils
Rocky Mountain Oils, founded in 2004, is a leading non-MLM purveyor of 100% pure, natural and authentic essential oils, expertly crafted blends and nutritional products.
Their mission is to improve the quality of life for each customer by delivering only the best premium essential oils and proprietary blends on the market, which is rooted in their S.A.A.F.E. Promise. All of their oils are 100% pure, are tested for purity and potency by a third party lab, and are free of synthetics and fillers.
2. They Have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
Rocky Mountain Oils also offers a 100% Guaranteed Satisfaction of Quality. They give you 90 days to use a product, and you can receive a full refund if you’re not 100% satisfied — even if the bottle has been opened or used. I love that! I’ve also been very impressed with their customer service.
3. They Offer Great Prices
Since they are a direct-to-consumer company, they are able to provide pure essential oils and supplements at a value-rich price. There are zero start-up fees or minimum purchases, and their pricing averages 50% less than that of many other essential oil companies. They also offer free shipping on all orders!
My Favorite Rocky Mountain Oils
My Top 2 Favorite Oils So Far:
- Immune Strength – This blend supports a healthy Immune System. The spicy scent is so great for the diffuser. In fact, we loved how it smelled so much that we went through a whole bottle in just a few weeks.
- Tummy Rub – This is a blend of popular oils used to assist the digestive system. Oh my goodness! This stuff WORKS! Both Jesse and I have used it multiple times over the past month when our stomach has felt queasy or upset. And every time, within 15 minutes of rubbing it on our stomachs, we felt worlds better.
Some of their other bestselling essential oil blends include:
- Breathe Ease – The top blend for supporting the respiratory system.
- Purify – An amazing synergy that helps neutralize bad odor. Can be diffused to keep the home smelling fresh, or added to homemade cleaning products.
- Feminine Aid – Their popular blend used to assist in hormone regulation. Oils in this synergy have properties that support the endocrine system. Can be used by both male and females!
- Relieve Me – One of their top blends for assisting with muscle aches and pains.
- Lavender (Hungary) – Lavender is regarded as one of the top 10 oils anyone should have. Hungarian Lavender has a sweeter scent that customers prefer over the Bulgarian Lavender, which has an herbaceous scent.
- Sacred Frankincense – Sourced from Oman, this variety of Frankincense is a must have for customers looking to get the best quality of Frankincense available on the market.

Have you or anyone tried for loss of hair and thinning? I have heard a lot of different products but don’t know what to try. Have heard sage rosemary and cedar are good any thoughts. Will definitely check out website.
Thanks

I’ve heard rosemary works wonders for hair thinning, but I’ve never personally tried it. -Meg, MSM Team

I have a few of the RMO. All single oils & no blends. Say I wanted to do a diy mixture of tummy time for the kidos, how would I do that or the number of drops for each oil I need?
Gloria says
Ok tried again… It works! Thank you Crystal for the sweet smelling hoidays.
Gloria says
Help! The holiday code is not valid. I’m trying to use it it keeps saying not valid code.
Meg says
This deal expired on 11/13, but we are trying to get it extended for our readers. -Meg, MSM Team

Rmo says they have fractionated coconut oil on their labels. Although good idea to dilute I wonder how much they use and if it really makes their prices so great??
Jen says
I’m just about to make my first purchase of essential oils. After much deliberation, I’ve decided on RMO. I was so sad to see that the coupon from MSM expired in June. Will you be offering another deal anytime soon?!
Joy B. says
I thought your 20% discount on RMO was a wonderful opportunity to try a new brand of oils. I researched which oils I wanted and submitted my order.
Your code of MSM20 was not valid and I was so disappointed. Has anyone else had a problem with their not accepting the discount code from you. It makes me doubtful of this company.
Crystal Paine says
Unfortunately, the coupon code was only available through June 25 as mentioned in the post. 🙁
Teri says
I found a 20% off code for Rocky Mountain Essential Oils. It is Ben20. I think it expires at the end of July.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Crystal, thanks for your very honest review of RMO! I’ve been using essential oils for almost two years now and have seen a drastic improvement in my overall health. Most of the oils I’ve been using has been from a popular MLM company and about a year ago, I started researching other EO companies and RMO kept popping up over and over again. About 6 months ago, I called them and was amazed at their friendliness and the amount of time they took out of (I’m sure!) their very busy day to answer my questions. I have been eager to try RMO once I get low on my current oil stash. I hope I am as happy with their oils as you are! I have been trying other non MLM oil brands but haven’t been as happy with the results or smells of some of them (in comparing with the brand I primarily use), but hopefully RMO will meet or exceed that expectation. I am looking forward to breaking from the stress and high prices of MLM company! Thank you for all you do for your readers! You are my go-to daily blog!
Ashley says
Oh man. I really wish I knew about the free gift thing earlier than now. Our budget for May is already set. Will they do something new in June?
Crystal Paine says
YES! We’re going to have a special offer from them in June, as well, I believe!
Ashley says
I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for that! We’ve been wanting to try this company, so this would be a perfect opportunity to do so. Thanks so much!!
Lori says
Are these oils ok to ingest? I don’t do that with all the oils but a few.
Thanks!
Kariane says
I love essential oils. While I’ve never tried RMO, I can say essential oils have made a big difference in my everyday life. One of my favorite ways to use them right now is homemade bath salts. So simple, yet so relaxing: http://everydayintentionalliving.com/wash-stress-drain-homemade-bath-salts/
Dana says
I love oils, but many of the MLM individuals recommend unsafe practices (such as ingestion and using oils neat). I encourage individuals to find a trained aromatherapist and do your own research on the safest way to use them. Oils are POWERFUL, and need to be treated with respect. I recommend that you check out www dot learningabouteos dot com. I have no affiliation with them, but they have great safety and purity information.

Thanks for your great review Crystal. I love RMO! It’s the only brand I’ll use. They also have a great “no questions asked” 90 day return policy. Love them!

I’m so glad you love RMO!

I love Rocky Mountain Oils. It’s the only brand I’ve bought. I can’t wait to try some of the blends you recommended.
Chanda says
Crystal,
Can you tell us what brand diffuser you use and where you got it? I am starting to explore essential oils for our family, and we are experiencing a bit of sticker shock. My husband, trying to see where we could save a bit, found a diffuser with good ratings on Amazon….but the oils sales people would have us believe they aren’t as good as the ones sold by the oils companies. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!
I am liking the prices and reviews for Rocky Mountain oils. Thank you for your personal review and insight!
Crystal Paine says
I think you can definitely get a diffuser from Amazon! We got one from there a few years ago and it has worked well!
Amy Smith says
Chanda, perhaps you have already purchased a diffuser by now, but I have a Zaq diffuser (Amazon) and love it. I want to try the Zaq Bamboo as it has interval settings and the option for no light. They tend to run a little more pricey when it comes to diffusers, but I’ve found it to be worth the extra cost.
Christina says
What do you use the Clary Sage for? I was given some and have no idea what to do with it.
Stacey says
Christina,
I use clargy sage every month during my period. It lessens cramps, helps mood swings, and improves my outlook during those hormonal changes. Rub on your tummy for cramp relief and on pulse points, like wrists, for hormone relief. I love RMO’s clary sage! Hope this helps!
Christina C from MD says
I also mix Clary Sage oil with Carrot Seed oil and apply to abdomen- wow! works wonders for cramps!! I get instant relief.
Lara says
I completely agree with what Stacey said! Also – occasionally I wake up in the middle of the night anxious about something and once my mind starts going I have a very hard time falling back to sleep. At times like these I will put some along with a carrier oil on my hands, breathe it in and I’ve been able to get back to sleep! I have only used RMO, so I can’t speak to any other brands, but I LOVE their Clary Sage!
Crystal Paine says

My mother-in-law uses (and loves) Rocky Mountain Oils!
I haven’t been using many pre-blended oils lately, but I’ve been mixing lavender and orange in the diffuser at night, and I am in looooove. Such a nice blend to fall asleep with. Ahhh! (yes, I might be a little bit over-enthusiastic about it ;))
