Kathrynne has been wearing extra loom band bracelets and then going through her day looking for people to give them to.
I love her heart and it inspires me to be more proactive about living my life prepared to be generous and seeking out ways to bless someone else.
Sometimes, we think we need to wait for the big opportunities to make a difference, but you never know the impact that a small gesture like the gift of a handmade, brightly-colored loom band bracelet could have.
Let’s go throughout our day today looking for whose life we can brighten through simple acts of kindness. Who’s with me?

Love it! You’ve taught her well.

I carry extra suckers in my purse. If I see a child crying, I ask the parent if the child can have one. I usually have one of my own little kids (ages 3, 5 and 9) give the upset child the sucker as it also teaches my own kids compassion and empathy.

Oh, I love that!
Andrea Drugay says
That’s really sweet 🙂 No act of kindness is ever wasted!

Yes!

Love this! Simple gestures can sometimes make the biggest impacts. Kathrynne must have a very caring heart – you should be very proud. Let her know that people think what she is doing is awesome and to keep it up!
Crystal Paine says
She does have such a beautiful, tender heart… especially for those who might feel left out, lonely, or overlooked.

This is so inspiring. It really doesn’t take a big gesture to make someone day.
I know I was at the grocery store. It was about a year after my grandpa died of Alzheimers disease. I don’t usually notice people around me that much at the store. But I noticed this older gentleman having trouble picking out his tv dinners. I stopped and asked if I could help him.
We ended up talking for about 15 minutes. He shared with me he had just lost his wife. How he loved her so much and how he missed her. I could do nothing to help his situation but listen.
I know it’s easy for me to just not noticed those around me when I’m busy doing what I need to do but I was so happy I looked around to see this gentleman that day. It wasn’t much on my part to share a few minutes to listen to his story but I hope it helped him in some way.
Diane says
Thank you for sharing this story, and thanks for being there when this gentleman needed a listening ear!
Crystal Paine says
What was so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing that story; it really inspired me!

I love this. We not only think our gestures need to be big, but we also procrastinate our kindness. I love this quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.” Remembering this can help us put action to our kindness.
Crystal Paine says
Yes! What a great quote!
