Would it be possible to leave your recipe for the deer roast, we have roast, steaks and a lot of ground venison in the freezer. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your shopping trips, it’s a great tool & inspiration for those of us who are on a limited income and when my husband gets laid off every winter. It helps give me ideas so that my meals are not so humdrum 🙂

You will LOVE Life is Good coffee! I found some on clearance this summer as well (although you did get a better price than I did!). It was soooooo tasty! If only I could find it again.

Gretchen, thank you for sharing your shopping trips. I always get inspired by these! Could you share the recipe for the spaghetti with garlic chicken sauce? That sounds really yummy. Thanks 🙂

I think that most of the time, you can tell a difference with real buttermilk. And I do like it better.
Before you run out, do a google search on making buttermilk with a starter. It’s super simple – but I haven’t done it in a while so I’m not quite sure how it’s done anymore. Basically, when you’re down to just 1/4-1/2 cup left, fill your container up with regular milk, shake well, and then I can’t remember if you let it sit out to warm up and ferment for several hours, or if it can ‘work’ in the fridge. Anyhow, search it to find out for sure! It is really easy and works quite well! 🙂

Thanks for this idea! I will have to give it a try. 🙂

That is a steal for buttermilk! I use buttermilk in coleslaw too to make it extra creamy!
Gretchen says
That’s a great idea! I hadn’t thought about making coleslaw.
