When Gretchen does 2 transactions @ Walgreens and uses a Register Reward from the first transaction on the second transaction; does she have to make 2 trips to Walgreens or do they let her take the RR and immediately apply it to the 2nd transaction? I’ve often had trouble redeeming RR, especially if they are a P & G Register Reward.
Since they won’t let you earn points in a transaction when you are redeeming points, are Register Rewards exempt from this? In other words can you earn (or spend) points when you are redeeming a Register Reward? And can you earn Register Rewards when you are spending points?
Hope this makes sense. Walgreens policies are confusing sometimes.
I’m sure I’m in the minority, but if any of you are over 50 like me, link your Balance to your AARP card for additional benefits, like 5000 points if you spend $25 in a single shopping trip. It can only be done once a month.

I almost always do all my transactions in one shopping trip. If I check out at the Cosmetics counter, they usually are very nice about it (especially since there isn’t a line waiting!). Yes, you can earn/spend points while redeeming Register Rewards. Walgreens coupon policy IS confusing and it’s taken me a while to get it all figured out. :)
