I can’t remember, do the Crayola crayons usually go down to .25 before school, or is this their cap?

These prices must be regional because the Walmart ad in my paper shows prices for school supplies that are significantly higher in some cases. For example, our ‘sale’ price is $1.12 for 24ct crayons! Other things like the 1 subject notebook and Crayola markers are significantly higher also.

I am not a fan of the way Walmart treats its employees (now migrating toward ‘temporary’ employees instead of FT/PT), and their prices are not the lowest. They will not get much, if any, of my business.

Unfortunately, it’s not just Walmart that is going to temporary employees or moving people from full time to part time. Many companies big and small are trying to figure out how to navigate the new regulations that fulltime is now 30 hours a week and they have to offer benefits to anyone who works 30 hours. We’ve seen a hospice that my husband use to work for cut almost everyone down to 20 hours to avoid going out of business. I’m sure there are lots of reasons Walmart is changing the ways they’re treating their employees and I’m not saying I agree with it, but I think there are lots of other companies doing the same things.

Hi! Would you please consider a post to your blog encouraging everyone to purchase school items at the wonderful low prices to create shoe box gifts at Christmas. I worded that pretty bad. But, I’m sure got the idea I was trying to portrait. Thank you!
