48-Hour Giveaway: Six Cree Lightbulbs and $50 Home Depot Gift Card (3 Winners)

Cree just announced the launch of the new Cree® LED light bulb — a light bulb designed to make it super easy to save money. Here are some stats on the new Cree LED bulb:

  • Looks and lights like the incandescent you know and love (no greenish tinge or flickering)
  • Energy savings of 84 percent compared to the incandescent bulbs they replace
  • Saves $61 per year on electricity bills*
  • Contains no harmful mercury, unlike CFL bulbs
  • Affordable pricing breaks the $10 barrier
  • Longlasting – 25,000 hour lifetime; 25x longer than a typical incandescent – that’s 24,000 hours you don’t need to spend thinking about changing your light bulbs.

Cree Bulbs are sold exclusively at The Home Depot. For more information, follow Cree Bulb on Facebook or Twitter.

I’m a little surprised how excited about this giveaway! I think LED light bulbs are the way to go having been so dissatisfied with CFL bulbs.

I’m actually excited about the LED/Home Depot Giveaway. I’ve grown to love using led bulbs–!

This would be such a blessing! I just bought a house and need everything for it, including light bulbs! :-)

Ok I don’t usually take time to enter giveaways but I’ll make an exception for this one because I cannot stand the CFL bulbs and would love to try LED. My dislike of the CFL bulbs is so intense that I ordered 100 each of the 100-watt bulbs and 75-watt bulbs before they went away. (Hoping that would give scientists a decent enough time to create another “normal” looking light bulb.) Hope I win!! :-)

These bulbs have been available in my area for several months now – Home Depot sells them. We have 3 and love them – SO much better than the typical energy saving bulb and a TON brighter. They’re $13 a piece for a 60-watt but last an insanely long time, plus they have a guarantee. (Can you tell I like them? :) )
