Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program 2013

If your children read eight books this summer and track them on the Barnes & Noble reading log, they can turn their reading log in at any Barnes & Noble store between May 21 and September 3, 2013 to get a free book.

Don’t forget that you can also sign your children up for Kids Bowl Free and get two free games of bowling every day all summer long!

Thanks, Nikki!

I can’t find the age/grade requirement for the B&N reading program… is it just 1st grade through 6th?

This is amazing! I am a librarian and I will print out the reading logs for my students. This is a great way to encourage summer reading! Thank you so much! :)

I did this program last year and it was really nice and they had a Lego book my son really wanted so that was extra motivating to him.

Thanks for the reminder! My daughter does this every year and loves getting a free book – it’s always a fun afternoon for us – we get a hot chocolate, browse the books and magazines and then she gets to thank something home.

I can’t begin to tell you how excited my 5YO DD is about this! As soon as I showed her the reading log I printed off, she ran to her room and pulled 8 books off her shelf. She wanted to read them all this evening…LOL! I told her we had a few weeks until we could get the prize so she only read one to me and her Daddy before bathtime. I’m so glad that there is something that will motivate her to read aloud to others. (She loves to read, but isn’t fond of reading to others.) I might have to do something like this year around. (i.e., she reads 8 books aloud to us and her Daddy and I will treat her to a new book.) Thanks for sharing Crystal!

Thank you for posting about this program! My daughter is excited too! I do have a question.. I opened the document a few days ago and it had a page collecting the children’s name and info but now when I opened the document the only page to come up is the book list page in Eng and Span. So do you think they changed it?
