We’re excited to have Swagbucks as our monthly sponsor in March. For those of you who have read here for just a little while, you’re probably really familiar with them as I’m constantly recommending them!
I had the opportunity to interview them and get to know their company a little more recently:
1. Tell us about the history of your company.
Swagbucks’ website is powered by Prodégé, a provider of branded and incentivized reward portals. In 2006, Prodégé introduced its first product: private label search engines that allowed charities to fund raise by having supporters perform internet searches. In early 2007, Prodégé developed a second search loyalty product that allowed celebrities, brands and sports teams to engage fans through their own branded rewards program.
In February 2008, Prodégé launched Swagbucks.com and introduced the Swag Buck as a digital currency earned for activity throughout its network of websites. Over the years we’ve focused on finding ways to reward our users for everything they do online.
2. What product or service does your company offer?
Our main focus is rewarding you for your online activities, which includes things like Shopping, Search, Games, watching Videos, taking Survey, doing Special Offers and more. As you accumulate Swag Bucks for these activities, you can redeem them for rewards like Amazon and PayPal gift cards, discounts and deals at businesses near you, and household electronics.
3. Can you explain to my readers more about how you help us save money?
We’ve had the opportunity to meet some of our users, and the one thing we hear the most is “You guys made our Christmas possible!” People earn hundreds of dollars on Amazon, Paypal, Target, Walmart and more that they use for holidays, general gifts or even staple household items. It always makes our day to know that we’ve helped ease someone’s financial burden in some way.

4. Is Swagbucks involved in charity work?
Yes! Giving back is a huge part of our corporate philosophy. There is an entire section of our Rewards Store that’s dedicated to donating your Swag Bucks to different charities.
All of the Swag Bucks donated through that portal are then turned into a cash donation made directly to the charity. We also offer CharityChoice gift cards, which you can use on their site to donate to even more charities.
5. What would you most like your customers or future customers to know about your company?
We are committed to constantly finding new ways to reward you. We care very deeply about all of our users and every single employee at Swagbucks is dedicated to creating the best possible rewards experience for everyone. We listen to your feedback and have made changes in the past and implemented ideas that came from emails, tweets, and Facebook conversations!
6. How can your customers get the most out of your product or service?
There are a few things that will do a lot to ensure that you’re successful with Swagbucks. The first thing we suggest is downloading our Toolbar – it allows you to search Swagbucks, watch videos, and redeem the bonus Swag Codes we’re constantly releasing. Plus, you get a bonus each day just for having it installed and active. It’s part of our Daily Earning Checklist, which is on the lefthand side of our homepage and reminds you that you can earn every day with the Toolbar, by voting in our Daily Poll, and by checking out the NOSO (No Obligation Special Offers) we have available.
Our second piece of advice is to use the Daily Goal Meter – it challenges you to earn a specific amount each day and you accumulate bonuses every day you hit it. It’s a great way to track your progress and put yourself on track to earn big each month!
7. Is there anything else that you’d like for my readers to know?
We love seeing new people discover us and learn just how rewarding we can be! We hope those of you who haven’t joined us yet will take a few minutes to sign up and start earning free rewards. To those of you who are a part of our community, we simply want to say: Thank You.
