I’m excited to introduce you to my friend, Kathi Lipp, today. I read her book, The Husband Project, last year and loved it. My husband loved the fact that I read it, too!

Does anyone have any recommendations on good books for husbands to read? I spend a lot of time reading and trying to do better in every area of my life. Career, children, cooking, homemaking and my marriage. My husband reads fiction and gadget/techno blogs. I don’t feel like he invests as much into self-improvement as I do and he even teases me about it. He would never seek something out on his own but if anyone knows of a good read for the hubbies, can you share?
The Exemplary Husband: A Biblical Perspective by Stuart Scott is an excellent Bible based book for Christians. However, you’d probably also want to get The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace with is the companion volume so you could go through the course together. Of course, it’s something you would have to approach prayerfully and just the right sense of humor to talk him into it!
I’d tell him you’re upgrading your personal software, and invite him to do the same. After all, that’s essentially what the point of self-improvement is, right? I know Lifehacker used to make a similar point, but that site’s been less and less useful lately.

I just discovered the same thing – our library has nothing from her. I am going to try to request that they order The Marriage Project, the Husband Project, and the Organizing Project because I can’t afford to buy them myself.
I requested this awhile back and my library said they need requests from 5 people to put it on the list to be considered. :/
Thank you for the chance to win! My husband and I have been working to improve our marriage and this would definitely help (I don’t think we were as ready as we thought we were to start our family!).
