I’m glad this worked out for her, but I’ve tried this (using the same instructions) and found that the marker didn’t last more than a few washes. I’ve ended up using acrylic sealer on the items (trivets, so not concerned with food safety). I would probably go with an actual porcelain marker for longevity if I were working with a plate or a cup, now.
