Download the Funnix Reading Program for free.  Here’s some info on this program from their site:

The free version of Funnix Beginning Readingis downloadable. You fill out a form. Then, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download the entire 220 lessons onto your computer. You will receive everything you need to teach the program, including daily workbook activities and guides to help utilize the program effectively.

When you teach Funnix Beginning Reading, you and your child sit next to each other and watch the computer screen. A narrator presents a series of fast-paced exercises in each 30-minute lesson. The narrator asks questions, and your child responds out loud. Your job is to reinforce correct responses and correct any mistakes by following simple rules for “navigating” through the program.

This is going on my computer right now! I have an emerging reader as well as an up and coming! Add in my daycare toddlers and preschoolers and I may never get computer time again.
I will try and see if I can upload it to my tablet as well, if anyone has success in this let me know please :)

I’m going to try to get this one loaded too. I got the first half of the Math downloaded but I never could get AVG to let the 2nd half of the Math program go through. They look like excellent programs.

In case anyone was wondering, I downloaded this a while back when it was free. It was great! Worked through about 1/2 of it with my two little ones, until we switched for reasons unrelated to the program itself. Would highly recommend. My kids loved interacting with the computer and “teacher”.
