48-Hour Giveaway: Nativity Set from Ever Thine Home {5 Winners}

by Crystal on December 06, 2012

When I went to FamilyLife last week, pretty much the very first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was the beautiful wreaths on the doors that greeted me. I knew instinctively that these wreaths must have been designed by Barbara (wife of Dennis Rainey who hosts FamilyLife Radio), as they just looked like something she would create!

And sure enough, they are her Leave Him Thanks Wreaths. These wreaths are made with leaves of vintage paper printed with verses and hymns of praise and serve as a constant reminder to live a life of gratitude. {See more pictures of the wreath on Barbara’s Pinterest page here.}

All over the FamilyLife building, there are touches from Barbara gracing the walls and hallways. She just has a way of combining colors and beauty together in a meaningful, significant, and creative way.

{Side note: You should see Barbara’s office. She has an entire wall that is just an Idea Board where she thumbtacks up pictures and other things she finds that she loves. It’s like a great big life-sized Pinterest! So inspiring!}

This Christmas, Barbara also released a Nativity Set that is unlike any other Nativity Set I’ve ever seen. This 5-piece metal Nativity Set is probably the most durable Nativity Set you’re ever going to find.

Because this Nativity Set is so durable, your children can touch it and play with it, and I don’t think there’s any way they can hurt it (unlike our ceramic Nativity Set we had growing up that was always having parts on it break! :) )

I love that my kids can touch the Nativity Set and act out the Christmas story — and that even with all of that handling, it should last for years to come.

Each Nativity Set also comes with a simple, beautiful backdrop full of verses about Christ’s birth.

You can display this Nativity Set on a mantle, tabletop, shelf, or counter and it’s sturdy enough to display all year long, if you’d like, as a reminder of the God who comes near.

Get $3 Off the Purchase of a Nativity Set or Wreath!

If you’d like to purchase, they are offering a $3 off coupon for the Nativity Set or the Leave Him Thanks Wreath when you use coupon code MONEYMOM at checkout. Just add the product(s) to your cart and use coupon code MONEYMOM on the next page and it will automatically deduct $3 per product.

Would you like to win a He Came Near Nativity Set? Barbara has graciously agreed to give away five Nativity Sets to my readers this week! Just click on the graphic below and type in your name and email address. Five winners will be chosen and posted on Monday. This giveaway ends Saturday, December 9, at 11:59 pm, CST.

    Oh Crystal, I bought that exact set about a month ago at a holiday event. I just fell in love with it when I saw it! It’s so unique, and like you said “durable”. It looks good on the table by your tree! I have mine on my mantle.

    The wreath and nativity are absolutely beautiful. I had no idea that Family Life was in Little Rock. It’s a small world.

    We love nativity sets here at our home(gr8 childhood memories of making them ourselves) and I am looking forward to getting one of these for ourselves and for our friends…

    The adornaments are so beautiful! I would love to add them to the collection of crosses I have hanging all over my home. Not just at the holidays, but every day!

    This made me laugh. I grew up with a 50s style plaster nativity set that was never in perfect shape, displayed in an orange crate manger. Then there was a newer one that was retired when Joseph went missing. I can see how this being large and sturdy would be a good thing!

    I love this set! I have a nativity scene that I don’t put out because my mother gave it to me over 20 yrs ago and can’t bear the thought of something happening to it. This would be perfect for my kiddos. They enjoy hearing the real story of Christmas and this would keep their interest without worrying about it. The wreaths are gorgeous too!

      Oh yay! I’m so glad you were happy with it!

      • DEBBIE AUEN December 14, 2012 at 08:02 pm

        Sorry, for all those misspelled words….my key board is on its last leg….I should of proof read it first….When….the nativity came in the mail,my 4 year old grandson was taking the pieces out of the box and passing them to me while I set them up……he all of a sudden looked at me and said, gma…..the 3 wise men and the other animals must be coming in another box…..LOL,funny how he has seen them in other sets so assumes thats how it goes…..I hope some time in the future they do make the wisemen and sell them as a add on…..I love how the kids can handle them with no worries…..I am putting it in my china cabinet to display all year….I can”t stand the thought of not enjoying it all year….and it is a great story to teach the children anytime of year…..Thanks again…..
