7-Layer Pumpkin Magic Bars

I was really hopeful about this recipe. I mean, I love pumpkin and I love Magic Bars. So combining the two should work well, right?

Well, actually not, in my opinion. It just tasted off. Like a flavor collision gone wrong. They were also a little too gooey (notice dripping bar in the photos?).

It might just be me, though. So if you try the recipe for 7-Layer Pumpkin Magic Bars, let us know what you think!

By the way, I know I said I was only doing a week of pumpkin recipes, but I found five more recipes I really wanted to try. So you’ll just have to bear with two weeks of pumpkin recipes. :) If you don’t like pumpkin, don’t worry, We’ll be spotlighting apple recipes a little later this month!

I was really hoping you would make the pumpkin cinnamon rolls to share. I’m making some tonight for in the morning and I wanted to know what you thought of the recipe you pinned. The other recipe I’m looking at is from allrecipes.com. I liked the one you pinned because of the healthier ingredients. Guess I’ll just pick one and see how they turn out!

BTW, love all the pumpkin recipes! Keep ‘em comin’!

The same exact thing happened to me. They were gooey and we actually ended up eating them in a bowl with ice cream. I wasn’t initially a huge fan, but everyone else was. I think they were much better after being refrigerated because they were set more.

I know what you mean about the flavors gone wrong. I just tried the pinterest recipe with a box of brownie mix and 1 can of pumpkin…AWFUL! Those two things just shouldn’t be mixed together. I loved the density though! I am still trying to figure out how to get that density in my brownies without using pumpkin. Thanks for saving me from doing this– it looks like something I would try!
