4 Pumpkin Recipes You Should Try

We had our one-day, four-family garage sale today. And while everyone pitched in and helped a lot, I’m still wiped out tonight… so I’m skipping baking something with pumpkin and am instead going to share four pumpkin recipes I’ve posted here before. Enjoy!

These Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins are a family favorite and one of the most popular recipes I’ve ever posted. If you’ve not tried them before, you really shouldn’t wait another day to whip this recipe up.

Switch out the sweet potatoes in this smoothie for pumpkins and you have a delicious Pumpkin Smoothie — perfect for fall!

Looking for an amazing scone recipe? Go make a batch of Pumpkin Scones. These are hands down the best scones on the planet, in my opinion. SO good!

These Pumpkin Carrot Cake Muffins freeze well and make for a nutritious and yummy breakfast or snack.

Have you made anything with pumpkin this week? If so, tell us about it — and share the link to the recipe, if you have one.

I want to try those scones!!!

I have been obsessed with Starbucks’ pumpkin bread for several years and have experimented with a recipe that I found on Mrs. Southern Bri ade. Since I always bake with whole wheat flour, it took some tweaking with the flour/ baking soda/ baking powder amounts but I finally got it just where I like it. Now, I prefer mine to Starbucks so I call it “Better Thank Starbucks” Pumpkin Bread.

I’ve also made Pumpkin Spice Lattes 3 times since you posted the recipe last night!! I can’t have milk right now (I’m nursing and the baby doesn’t like it) so I subbed almond milk for the milk and the thick coconut milk (the stuff on the top of the can) for the condensed milk. It wasn’t sweet enough the first time, but now I tried coconut sugar (which I thick has a stronger flavor than regular- and it seems to not “disappear” into recipes quite as easily) and now they are just perfect. Thanks so much for sharing that recipe!!

I second the pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. We love them. And I’m so bummed I missed the garage sale! I was going to bring my blow money and swing by. Oh well, I am sure I will find plenty of other items to use my blow money on :) hope you all had success!

The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins & Pumpkin Scones are both a hit in our family! I’ve made the muffins many times & the scones several times.

Made the chocolate chip pumpkin muffins tonight for the first time. The second pan was yummy. The first pan…..well it kinda slid off the counter and onto the floor. A whole dozen….wasted. It was quite the clumsy day for me as I also knocked over a display of bacon bits at the grocery store. The recipe was a hit though! Thanks for sharing!

I made your pumpkin chocolate chip muffins with Bobs Red Mill all purpose gluten free baking mix over the weekend with fabulous results!

The pumpkin muffins are one of our favorites! Made them to take to the beach with friends last week and have since sent the recipe to all of them! I use one can to make pumpkin pancakes, then do a half recipe of the muffins to use the other half of the can. I make mini muffins because everyone seems to like them better. I definitely need to try the scones! I had 1/3 cup pumpkin left so I made this milkshake tonight: http://www.closetcooking.com/2009/10/pumpkin-pie-milkshake.html
Except that I used real ice cream instead of frozen yogurt. I found it through this site of 58 (!) pumpkin recipes that I pinned: http://www.simpleorganizedliving.com/2012/09/27/58-delicious-pumpkin-recipes-for-fall/
So excited for fall and pumpkin!!

I made the pumpkin scones earlier this week. I was out of ginger, so left it out & did not glaze or frost them. They were scrumptious!! That recipe’s a definite keeper!!

I did love the pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. I used Devil’s Food cake mix and they were amazing! I also used spice cake, can of pumpkin, raisins & pecans the next time and that was also delicious! I’m super excited to try the pumpkin latte recipe!

I switched out a cup of milk for a cup of pureed pumpkin in our favorite baked oatmeal recipe and added 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice. It was a hit this morning!

I love pumpkin flavored everything. This is one of my favorite times of the year (Christmas is #1). I’m definitely going to try those pumpkin chocolate chip muffins out this weekend! Thanks!

That scone picture is sucking me in!

And I hear about Thursday garage sales being a big thing in some areas. But in our area, Friday day is the up and coming thing. Usually it’s Friday night and Saturday morning that are big here. Good luck with yours! I know they are hard work!

The pumpkin chocolate chip muffins are one of our favorites too! I love that your recipe makes enough to freeze and/or share the extras. We just took some of these muffins to my sister-in-law who recently had a baby. The muffins were a big hit with her family too! Thanks for sharing your recipe. :)

Yard sales are absolutely exhausting – I hope you guys made a lot of money and sold a lot of stuff!
The pumpkin scone recipe is one my husband (avid hater of anything that isn’t highly processed) requests again and again and never lasts around my house!

My all-time favorite pumpkin recipe is an extra-easy dessert.

Make a graham cracker crust & line the bottom of a 9×13″ sprayed glass baking pan.
Soften 1/2 gallon of icecream. (Vanilla or butter pecan are great!) Stir in one can of pumpkin pie filling (NOT plain pumpkin) until well blended. Put mixture over the crust. Cover & freeze. I promise. You’ll love it!

I tried the pumpkin choc chip muffins…and something went terribly wrong!! I put the mix in the cupcake holders and baked them. Well all of the middles fell?!?! No idea. I followed the recipe…I did use an electric mixer to mix it…maybe that was it. But I made a double batch because everyone one here ravs about them :( Maybe I’ll try them again!
