I too live very close to Joplin! Is this a private speaking engagement? Please let us know if anyone can attend, I’d be thrilled to attend.
Alison says
I was hoping for a Joplin meet-up too. I do hope you have a good time in our great city. 🙂

Where are you speaking at in Joplin on Saturday? I live right outside of Joplin!

It’s so cool that you’re going to Joplin. My husband grew up near there in Neosho. It’s a nice area, and his family mostly still lives there. Enjoy yourself!
Carolynn @ mylittlebitoflife.com says
Why are you going to Joplin? I was born there! My cousin Trisha Patton is really involved in reviving the town after last year’s tornado. Have fun!

Thank you for inspiring me

My goals were very lax last week (“enjoy family”), so I’m taking it slow this week. However, I if I get these goals accomplished I will feel better than if I got other, less important goals completed. Thanks for giving us a place to be accountable publicly. It really does help (as you mentioned in your freezer cooking post today).
Gencie says
I did awfully last week, but I’m giving myself grace. With an almost-4-month-old, I’ll be happy if I get just a few things accomplished each day in addition to caring for him. So I revised my goals for this week to make them more realistic. http://gencie.blogspot.com/2012/04/goals-update.html
Rachel says
I also did awful last week with my goals. But like you I have a baby at home (1 month old today) so I am giving myself grace and making my goals for this week a little more attainable to accomplish with a 1 month old, a 2 year old and a 5 year old at home! Good luck!

Thanks for doing these weekly goal posts! While I haven’t figured out a consistent way to get my goals on paper/post (and stop setting the bar too high!) it’s still inspiring to read yours and remind myself to set some. This week my goals are to work on and follow a morning schedule before work, follow our menu plan as much as possible, take my son for a walk and plant starts for the garden.

I did so much better on my goals this week! Thanks for the book recommendation for 168 Hours. I’m loving it so far!
Shelly says
I got most of my goals done last week. It seemed to be a good week. This week so far so good. I don’t know how much gardening I will get done though, our weather has not been that good.
Gina says
I’m a single mother raising 5 of my 6 children. I gave myself a C+ on last week’s goals but after adding the single mom grading curve, I bumped it up to a B+ 🙂
Setting goals has been a long time habit for me. Your blog has been such an inspiration. Thank you!!

Meal planning is difficult for me, too. I use e-Mealz and still can’t manage to stay on track.

Yeah, you’re coming to Joplin. I live in Springfield. Any plans for reader get together?

No, not this time, unfortunately.
