We are huge fans of Lara bars…and cherry pie is my favorite. Thanks for sharing the link. I will definitely be trying this recipe soon !
I LOVE Lara bars, but am unfortunately not a big fan of anything cherry. If anyone knows how to make the cashew cookie ones, though, I’ll be your best friend!

has a great article and recipes and pictures of the process for making various lara bar flavors.
I had a ‘real’ pecan pie Larabar today, it only has almonds, pecans & dates in it – using those proportions given of fruits to nuts, it shouldn’t be hard to re-create the pecan pie!
Does anyone know how many calories are in one of these? Even though they are “God’s candy” and natural fruits do have many nutrients, dried fruits have lots of sugar(and calories) and can really be sticky on teeth. My family dentist says to make sure that little ones brush teeth after sticky sweets because this is a leading cause of decay. Dried fruits(especially dates) really stick to and remain on teeth. Many of us want to save money and preventing dental costs by preventing cavities is one way to do so. Thanks for the great recipe!
