Today’s the big day!

Today’s the big day! My book, The Money Saving Mom®’s Budget, is officially released and is available in stores nationwide!

I made this video to share a bit of my heart behind why I wrote this book and what I hope you gain from reading it.

You’ll have to pardon the odd cut-off. I started to share my gratitude for my husband and you all, and I broke down and couldn’t make it through.

So instead, I’ll just have to write that out, since I’m so emotional today that I don’t think I’ll be able to do a video on it! :)

You All Mean the World To Me

First off, thank you for how much you’ve touched and blessed me by supporting and believing in this project. As I wrote on my Facebook Page:

I just feel like crying all day today for how blessed I am by you all. You have no idea how much your amazing support of my book means to me. I knew you all were a fantastic group of readers, but your kindness and love poured out upon me today is just almost more than I can bear. *Thank you* from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could hug & thank each of you personally.

Just thank you. You all mean the world to me.

There Would Be No Book Without My Husband

Secondly, and more importantly, I want to thank my husband. Today, I celebrate nine years of being his wife. Next to my salvation, marrying Jesse was the best thing that ever happened to me.

While this book says I’m the author, truthfully, there would be no book without Jesse. From the get-go, he’s believed in this project. He’s shouldered extra burdens to free me up to write. He’s stayed up late with me to go over edits. He’s listened to me when I needed to bounce an idea off of someone. He’s cheered me on when I’ve felt like giving up. He’s prayed with me for wisdom, grace, and strength.

From the dedication page:

This book is dedicated to my wonderful husband, Jesse. Thank you for encouraging me to jump way outside my comfort zone back in 2003 when I had a crazy idea to start my own business. Three businesses, countless failures and nine years later, you’re still my biggest cheerleader. Thank you for believing in me yet again. I love you with all my heart.

Thank you, Jesse, for standing by my side throughout this whole project. I love you–and happy anniversary! :)

Well said, Crystal.

Great book; I loved reading it! I certainly learned a lot and it will definitely be helpful for any family looking to be more responsible with their money, and looking for ideas on how to find time in their day and money in their budgets.

YAY!! I am so excited this book is out! We have been so blessed to have picked up Dave Ramsey’s book two years ago – we were encouraged by your blog!! Our lives were not bad before, our finances were not bad – but they are so much more stable and we have SO much more hope now! I am so thankful that I was already able to read the book to review for you – anyone who is considering it – it is worth EVERY penny – it is an easy & very fun read that you should read and pass along!

Crystal, what a thrill. Since beginning reading you blogs forever ago…what a journey. How good God is! Proud of you and so thankful for what He is doing!! xo

Crystal January 10, 2012 at 2:34 pm

Yes, “what a journey” is right! :) I’ve made lots of mistakes, but God has used it for so much good in my own life in breaking me and molding me in ways I could have never dreamed.

Thank you for being my friend, Myra!

Kelly January 10, 2012 at 4:24 pm

I found your blog through Courtney at WomenLivingWell.org. I ordered your eBook last night for my Nook. I look forward to reading it. While my DH and I are blessed financially, we really need to step up our Retirement savings! I’ve got like nothing put away for that. So thank you for your inspiration. Your story about how you paid cash for your house is amazing May our Great Lord continue to bless you!

Crystal January 10, 2012 at 4:27 pm

Thank you so much for your kind encouragement, Kelly!

Tabitha January 10, 2012 at 2:20 pm

Cherie from Queen of Free January 10, 2012 at 2:21 pm

Crystal, I am thrilled for you. I’ve been tearfully sharing your updates with my husband and we’ve been thanking God for your example. Back in 2008, you were one of the first frugal blogs I found and I’ve followed you ever since. We’ve gone on our own sold out, debt slaying journey have paid off over $118K and are on course to be debt free {except the mortgage} in 4 months. God has taught us so much AND you’ve had a role in that story. Thanks for inspiring, encouraging and so willingly serving others. You’ll never know this side of heaven how many lives you’ve impacted. :)

Last night, at the dinner table, we were discussing a difficult extended family situation. I searched my mind for something happy to talk about and brought up the release of your book and all the women and children in the DR that will be helped by its proceeds. Everyone at the table agreed with how special this is in a selfish, me-centered world. God’s blessings and congratulations on your book and anniversary!
