6 to 6 in what time zone?

  • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 10:30 am

Andrea, as long as you are in the U.S. territory (or willing to work in timezone alignment) we can accommodate. While our office is in Texas the reason why we want you to work during the day is to ensure high response rate in email communication.

For example if you are a missionary working in Europe and you start your work day at 7.00 p.m. your time you would still be within our working ours.

For those in the U.S. As long as you are available in your own 6 to 6 window we can make it work for the right candidates.

    Kindly

    Ruth

Thanks, Ruth. It’s not clear to me whether you are expecting someone to set aside every business day (60 hours a week) for the opportunity to work 20 hours or if a person could work just two (long) days each week.

      • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 01:54 pm

You can work two long days or a few hours each day. Our goal is to have quality work while providing our team flexibility to take care of other matters.

Basically we need 20 hours of your time each week. Many team members work two hours early in the morning or after taking the kiddos to school and two hours at the end of the day.

I hope this clarifies our approach

Hi Andrea, any continental US Timezone would work fine.

Thank you Crystal! I appreciate your willingness to share this with your readers but mostly I appreciate how you bless others via your blog.

Crystal~I’m a stay at home Mom and would like some tips on how to fill out a resume that doesn’t look empty once I get done due to being home all these years. I was young when I married and then children came along. Past employers are few and many moons ago. Any advice? Thanks~Becky

      Volunteer work!

  • ruth September 23, 2011 at 11:01 am

    Becky,
At CadeRyan we actually test your skills before hiring you. If your job for the last five years has been as a SAHM go ahead and tell us exactly that. It is a skill that requires discipline, multitasking ability and commitment and that is quite valuable to us.

    I applied! thanks!

  • EM September 23, 2011 at 11:12 am

I too have been a SAHM, but for over 20 yrs. My last out of the home job was in 86′ :) This does sound interesting. Thanks for posting Crystal.

    Hi Crystal,
I am thinking that you probably get a lot of requests from various companies to post job opportunities , and I just wondered how you decide which ones you will share with readers? For example, if you have particular criteria you use? Not at all criticizing…just curious! Thanks for all you do!

  • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 01:48 pm

    Dear Lynne,
While I am unfamiliar with Crystal’s internal policies I can tell you that all of us at CadeRyan deeply value the roles of SAHMs and decided to reach out to Crystal confident that among her readership there are many talented individuals that can make a huge difference in our organization.

I have a question also. I understand being available to work between 6 to 6, but what about those of us that have to run out and pick up kids from school and such? I am in and out several times a day, but come home in between and I typically check the computer when I do. It sounds like a really fun job. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Crystal!

    • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 03:52 pm

      Sarah,
We give you the flexibility to come in and out to meet the needs of your family as long as you are able to contribute toward the business and be in front of your computer at least 20 hours per week.

  • Stephanie September 23, 2011 at 02:26 pm

Is this a Monday – Friday only position? Is this a job a SAHM could do? I’m a SAHM of 7 years and this job sounds like something I would enjoy and have the skills to do. I’ve done a few contract jobs from home and recently started my own business seeking to assist Entrepreneurs in their business endeavors. Thanks, Crystal for posting!

    • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 05:21 pm

      Yes and yes!

  • Andrea September 23, 2011 at 02:27 pm

    Hi Ruth!

Just to let you know, I applied and am very excited about this opportunity: I majored in English in my undergrad degree, and have all the course work for a Masters’ degree in Library and Information Science. I’ve been a stay at home mom for four and a half years now, but have some out of the home work experience prior to that. I’m out of town visiting family right now, but email is accessible on my IPhone. I look forward to speaking with you more about this opportunity.

    All the best,

    Andrea Cummings

    • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 05:25 pm

Thank you Andrea, I will get back to you shortly

  • EM September 23, 2011 at 03:07 pm

Ruth, What about vacation time. We sometimes take 2 weeks off in a row to travel to visit family, once a year or so. would that be an issue? Does your website show the terms for working for CadeRyan? Thanks, Eva

    • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 03:52 pm

      EM,
Please submit your resume. We have a history of great flexibility for the right candidates.

  • Denise September 23, 2011 at 03:55 pm

    Thanks, Crystal! I’m applying today.

  • Celeste September 23, 2011 at 04:53 pm

I’m really excited for this kind of position but when I visited the website I have some concerns 1. being there is no physical address listed or phone number to reach actual place of business. 2. There’s a link of examples how your company has helped people market their business but when directed to another page it has no working link to read the stories. I noticed the date on the website is 2011, is this a new business? It wasn’t listed on the BBB website, thank you.

    • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 05:28 pm

      Celeste,
We are very new to the online portion of our business. We will soon have all the details up. CadeRyan has been around for a few years now but our core business was offline.

We are happy to share more details with the right candidates. Also if you happen to be in Texas we would love to meet you in person if you are a good match for our organization.

      Kindly
      Ruth

      • Celeste September 23, 2011 at 05:56 pm

Thank you so much for replying back to me and addressing my concerns I appreciate it! I’m very interested just wanted to get a feel of the company as it sounds like a wonderful opportunity.

  • Brianna S September 23, 2011 at 07:35 pm

    Ruth,

I was wondering what you meant by long-term in nature.
Does this mean that I would be signing a contract?
I am wondering as I would be able to work part-time for this school year but then will be graduating.

    Thanks!

    • Ruth September 23, 2011 at 10:15 pm

      Brianna,
By long term we mean that if you work out for us we will keep you for a very long, long time.

  • Stephanie September 23, 2011 at 07:48 pm

Thanks so much for this post. I just submitted my information and hope this works out to be a good fit for me. I love being home with my little one but still have that desire to provide financially some way for my family.

  • Sasha September 25, 2011 at 07:47 pm
