In case you missed this coupon when I posted it last week, it’s still available.

Coupons.com has a coupon for $6 off two packages of Schick disposable razors.

Walmart (and other stores) should have 10-count packages of Schick razors priced at around $1.97, making them free plus possible overage when you buy two and use the $6/2 coupon.

Please note that these coupons now say that there is no overage allowed down at the bottom right corner which if seen by the cashier will overrule the Walmart policy

Sheha September 26, 2011 at 12:13 pm

but you can still get these free right ??

Rae September 26, 2011 at 2:23 pm

yes :)

I tried to find these at walmart and never could.

Amy September 26, 2011 at 12:19 pm

That is, if you can find them! I’ve been twice and they are wiped out!

Christy September 26, 2011 at 12:23 pm

They don’t have those at our local walmart.

Funke September 26, 2011 at 12:23 pm

I tried to use these at WM yesterday. The register beeped and the cashier said he couldn’t take the coupons. I asked to speak to the manager and she said the register rejects the coupons because it could not be used on the 10 packs with 2 bonus but the 12packs shown on the coupon. I showed her where it is stated on the coupon that it is valid on any 2 schick razors but she insisted that she could not override it and that when the register beeps, the only other information they go by is the picture on the coupon. So, she wouldn’t let me use them.

The greedy couponers here have wiped out our Walmart’s supply. Good thing this has a long expiration date. Maybe I can get them next month when they’ve forgotten about them and moved on to the next deal.

becky September 26, 2011 at 12:27 pm

They aren’t sold at our walmart, only the $5.97 packs are there.

Deanna September 26, 2011 at 12:46 pm

Hey! My greedy coupon-ess got me 2 packs LoL I take offense to that :)

Chrissy September 26, 2011 at 1:30 pm

Your two packs isn’t greedy. I think she means people who buy like 50 just to have in their house :)

Deanna September 26, 2011 at 1:48 pm

Haha, I know I was joking.

Emily September 26, 2011 at 2:14 pm

Yeah, some crazy woman at Kroger bought 200 bottles of body wash, wiped out the store completely including stock, and paid maybe $4. Needless to say, Kroger has changed their coupon policy and limit your purchase to using 4 like coupons per visit.

They have them at our Walmart in Austin, but they were completely out. But given that the coupon was good until almost Thanksgiving, I figured I can be patient for my freebies.

Jen @ MyPotpourriWorld September 26, 2011 at 1:40 pm

I was able to use one coupon for 2 packs. I had forgotten my other coupon and when I went back, they are sold out at 3 different Walmart’s! LOL ;)

Amy September 26, 2011 at 1:46 pm

I was able to get two packages of the 12 packs. The register did beep and asked if the amount was correct, the cashier passed it through without problems, this was at Wal-Mart. Thanks!

I had an interesting experience with this coupon at Walmart the other day. The razoers were out of stock on the shelf. Later, I was at customer service for another reason and noticed one of the cashiers and two of the managers (in light-blue oxford shirts) were having discussion standing next to a basket with about 40 of those razor packages in it. I asked them what they were doing with the razors and if they were discussing that coupon. They were. I asked them if they were going to honor the coupon as I had looked for the razors on the shelf and they were out of stock. They asked if I had the coupon so they could see a copy.

Apparently, the cashier had been trying to explain the issue to the managers. The cashier told me that someone had tried to use 25 of those coupons (yeah, I’m sure they have 12 computers in their home) and when they wouldn’t let them the customer became irate and made a big scene.

We had a discussion about the issues involved with the coupon and the managers said that in their minds, the statement that Schick put in the right corner of that coupon causes a problem for Walmart and they were going to check with corporate about what to do. Until they got a determination from corporate they were going to pull all of the razors off the shelf (that’s why the basketful was there).

So no Schick at my Walmart, boo. But I certainly understand the issues for retailers. Personally, I suspect Walmart’s overage policy is what prompted that kind of statement on the coupon. They are the biggest retailer and you have to believe that companies are seeing the effects of people using coupons with overage at Walmart.

Oh, and did you know that Walmart’s official coupon policy says that they only take internet coupons that scan? So, if they register beeps they are not supposed to take it. That’s what the cashier told me and we looked at the policy together and it does indeed say that. I don’t know how well that gets enforced, but it’s the rule (and I didn’t realize that).

Lane September 26, 2011 at 3:28 pm

I was under the impression that by scan they mean that the bar code reader recognizes it. I had a problem the other day because I had a coupon that the scanner wouldn’t pick up. The cashier waved the scanner over it several times and then told me they only take internet coupons if the bar code can be scanned.

Lori Pottorff September 26, 2011 at 4:04 pm

I was wondering if they had pulled them. We have been out at our Walmart since the day after this post was originally published.

Willy September 26, 2011 at 3:48 pm

Our walmart didn’t have these either, only a white package with 10+3 bonus razors for $5,98…

Wal-mart is really my dis-favorite store, items and prices vary way to much from store to store to get anything. It seems my store is always overpricing items that other people say they get for just a few dollars after coupons…

jess September 26, 2011 at 3:49 pm

I was at Walmart today and the Brita coupon beeped and the cashier told me you have to scan a different barcode on it sometimes and it will take it no problems
She said a lot of cashiers don’t understand that

Sarah September 26, 2011 at 5:11 pm

Just did it, and got a two dollar bottle of shampoo for free! Apparently my cashier didn’t know about the overage policy…

Chanel September 26, 2011 at 6:49 pm

I used 2 coupons at my local walmart. The coupons kept beeping for me also, the cashier said that she was getting a message from it that it was an incompatible item or something. She called over a CSM, and she said to just enter in the amount the coupon was for, and it worked out fine : ) I wouldn’t want to try it again, though. Seemed like there may have been an issue if a different cashier or CSM had been involved.

Nicole September 26, 2011 at 7:42 pm

My coupon beeped, but it was just because it needed cashier verification that the coupon was really for $6. The cashier said it does that for anything that’s “high dollar”, but didn’t know what high dollar was.
I went for this deal before it hit the blogs hard and the super cheap ones were still already gone, but I got two of the 12 for $4.97, so that’s 24 razors for about $4. Not too shabby.

Rae September 26, 2011 at 11:13 pm

lol, it’s not because it is high dollar. It is because the coupon is more than the item. The coupons at Walmart (and certain other stores) will always beep if the coupon is more than the item. They just have to hit the button (or in this case should be adjusting the coupon down since it says no overage).

Elaine September 29, 2011 at 2:04 pm

I had a high dollar coupon that beeped and I still owed money, so not just becuase of overage. They needed to verify amount on coupon cashier said.

Jenn September 26, 2011 at 8:06 pm

I got my free razors plus overage. The register beeped for me too. It asked if the coupon was for that amount.
I got the feeling my cashier was new. For most stores it depends on who is your cashier… the less experienced the cashier it seems like the more likely they will give you the coupon. When the experienced people get coupons, they know the rules of coupons so know the fine print. Coupon policies change so much who knows what the store will do!
It’s lucky to get a deal in my opinion- and I was happy I got this deal:-)

Cassi September 26, 2011 at 8:51 pm

This worked for me-I bought 4 and they paid me $4 to take them out of the store. I don’t actually plan to use them-I will donate them to out local women’s shelter but I used the $4 to buy yogurt! :o ) It took me a bit to find them as they were not in the women’s section or the men’s section, they were hidden in the middle!

Michelle September 27, 2011 at 3:19 pm

Where is the coupon??!? It’s not there anymore!

Kyle September 30, 2011 at 5:34 pm

Just used 2 coupons at my wal-mart, scanned fine! gave me the overage so i got two bags of m&m’s for free with it. AND in each bag there is another coupon for $3/1 Shick ST2 which is what these are! So hopefully I can role these 4 coupons into more free m&m’s ^^

Kyle October 1, 2011 at 11:02 pm

used the 4 extra ones that came in the pack today too. they beeped when scanned but the mgr approved them and said to allow them. So 4.12 more in overage :)
