So cute! Thanks for sharing!

I wish this had been posted sooner! Much cuter than my gum and lip balm gift…but those are useful items, just not as cute!

Crystal August 23, 2011 at 4:40 pm

Sorry! I just found it today!

Can you give us the link again for the neat flower vases made with Crystal Light containers and pencils?

Beth August 23, 2011 at 4:45 pm

As a Junior high teacher I love to get candy! Great idea!

Mercedes Hayes August 23, 2011 at 5:21 pm

I love this idea and I love rolos! Thanks!

So cute. Creative minds out there. Love it. :)

How cute are these?!

Debbie August 23, 2011 at 6:45 pm

Crystal, if you come across any good prices on Rolos, can you let us know? I am a teacher and would love to stick one of these in all of the teachers’ mailboxes, but I don’t want to spend $50 to do it. If it would cost under $10, I would totally do it! =) I was thinking that maybe you could use Lifesavers or Mentos, which are cheaper…

Rae August 23, 2011 at 8:38 pm

Oh those are so cute! and yes Debbie those would probably be way cheaper and Mentos (not a fan of lifesavers) are almost as yummy as rolos… almost. I love me some Mentos especially the strawberry kind. They bring me back to the days of elementary school when we would go to skate parties at the skating rink and use the money our parents gave us for food all on mentos lol

Rolo’s are always cheaper at Menards around by me. Who would guess to buy candy there. :)

Kristi August 23, 2011 at 10:11 pm

Sorry, did not see this before. The candy at Menards are loose in a bag. Won’t work with this unless you can find a creative way to make them stay together. :(

What if you just put a little dab of glue or something? or even roll up tape . . then just piece them together and put the cute paper around them . . idk, just a thought :) but it might be cheaper to buy the bags and do it that way rather then 50 bars . . who knows lol

This is a really cute idea – hope I remember when my kids are old enough for school :)

I just thought of a great idea reading this. Use the free starburst from CVS this week. Wrap each starburst like it is like a book cover using a different piece of construction paper for each one. Then write on the “bookend” the subject- Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies. Bound the books together with a red string (or dental floss maybe???) Then personalize with a tiny note. Maybe attach it to a piece of cardboard to make it bigger. :)
