Here are three posts related to blogging that I’d encourage you to read:

::How Do You Not Get Discouraged By the Success of Others? — A fantastic post by my friend, Amy, from BloggingWithAmy.com. Whether you’re a blogger or not, you’ll be blessed and challenged by this post. I know that I was!

::140 Character Friendships — So true! {Okay, so this wasn’t really about blogging, but the sentiment could also be applied to blogging relationships, as well as Twitter relationships.}

::How to Make Money Blogging — Connie shares specific details on how she made $1,200 by blogging last month. If you’re considering earning money through blogging, you’ll find lots of helpful ideas and information in her post.

I sincerely appreciate this information. I have been getting up at 5am for months now to workout and write before my children awake, but some days I get horribly discouraged. This information came at the perfect time for me (a real slump). Thanks for the help!

Hang in there, the first year of blogging can be so hard. But stick with it and I promise it will be worth it!

Crystal @ Counselor Mom August 9, 2011 at 1:15 pm

Read 2 out of 3 of those yesterday ironically!

Thanks for sharing those resources. Looking forward to reading them all, especially because they’re all blogs I don’t currently follow. Love that you share these kinds of helpful articles in addition to coupons, freebies and the such. Love the variety that’s always shared on here!

Crystal, you are the most amazing blogger I know! Thanks so much for so freely sharing all the resources you can find about blogging with us. I would never have stared blogging if I didn’t follow your blog. You have such a big heart. Thank you!

Thanks for posting these links! I check your site regularly for inspiration! I really appreciate how you’ve shared your story and offer advice to so many (let alone the great deals!). I just started blogging a few weeks ago (thanks to you and a few other blogs that inspired me to start!) and am trying really hard to do a good job. I have so much to learn. I’ve been trying to get it set up during the summer, so I can just add posts easily during the school year.

Congratulations on your new blog!

Thank you so much for linking, Crystal!

Looking forward to reading these. My time spent blogging is not proportional to money earned but my love of freebies and sharing these with my readers far exceed monetary rewards… : )

Thanks for these links. I’ve been contemplating beginning a blog for income over the past few months (ok, probably more like a year!), however since the newest addition to our family is currently 3 months old it wasn’t the proper time to begin. I feel like things are settling down and it’s time to really pray about it and consider whether or not to jump into the blogging world! These links will help us as we discuss our plans!

Thank you so much for posting. This is really helpful.

I love Connie’s honesty in her post. I know she has worked very hard and she is so helpful to share all of her wonderful resources.

Now I’m off to read the twitter post, the only one I hadn’t already read!

Nancy @ Real Food Allergy Free August 9, 2011 at 7:22 pm

I read this article this morning titled “Has your blog become an Idol?” I highly recommend it.

I’ve already read all of those. Very good posts! It’s pretty easy for me not to get discouraged at others’ success, since I’m not expecting any myself. LOL. Hoping! But not really holding my breath. It’s a big internet, and I am one useless blogger (not a coupon in sight!). I will also add that Connie totally left out the part about how you need to have an awesome blog before any of those things will actually earn you money. ;0)

SB @ One Cent At A Time August 9, 2011 at 9:34 pm

I am having tough time to build my blog, but joining Yakezie really helped, and getting a footage slowly. The visitors from this site also helped me getting new readers lately.

Thanks for allowing me to comment Crystal

Amy @ BloggingWithAmy.com August 10, 2011 at 6:49 am

Thanks so much for the shout-out, Crystal! I hadn’t seen Connie’s post so I’m glad you included that one.

Alice August 10, 2011 at 1:32 pm
