Did you see the Office Max coupons I posted earlier? I was excited that our stores had everything in stock so we were able to get the maximum amount allowed for each coupon:

6 Office Max packages of filler paper – $0.10 each

5 Just Basics Ballpoint pens (10-pack) – $0.20 each

5 Schoolio 1-subject notebook, 70 sheets – $0.20 each

Remember that these coupons are only good through July 31, 2011.

I don’t understand the paper coupon. Do you have to buy one at full price to get one free then you can get them @ $.20 after the BOGO? Just want to know how to work the purchase right. Thanks!

Jessica M July 28, 2011 at 8:43 pm

You buy one at $.20, and get one free. So it’s basically paying only $.10 each!

Crystal July 28, 2011 at 8:43 pm

It was worded weird. But they should ring it up as $0.20 each, buy one, get one free. So if you buy two, you’ll get them for $0.10 each.

Sara July 30, 2011 at 12:54 pm

But the coupon says BUY one at regular $1.49

Crystal July 30, 2011 at 1:13 pm

Yes, and I’m not sure why it says that when it says “$0.20 plus Buy One, Get One Free”. Our store rang them up as $0.20 each plus Buy One, Get One Free. It’s possible other stores will ring it up differently. Let us know if that’s the case at yours!

Ps – the coupon I saw said good until July 30 NOT 31.

I made the exact same purchase today! YAY!

Crystal July 28, 2011 at 8:46 pm

Great minds shop alike. ;)

BTW, I was able to get 12 packs of paper — 6 @ $.20 each and then another 6 Free.

My mom & I went today too. We found they had packs of paper with 100 sheets and 150 mixed in the stack. The 150 worked find for the sale. .10 for a pack of paper is great! Thanks!

We homeschool and they gave us a teachers Officemax rewards card. If you have a Teachers card you can get double the stated limits on their sales.

Since you have the teacher card, you may be able to participate in their teacher appreciation celebration. I teach in the public school system and have a card; every year we get an invite to go to this program at our local store. It is a one day event. They hand out bags with samples as well as full sized products. Last year the bag had post it notes, pens, white out, a notebook… and more but I cannot recall everything. Also, there are usually coupons and at one of the stores (it might be Staples though) they give teachers a 20% discount on EVERYTHING for the day. You can check online to see when your local store hosts this event; my store is holding it this Sunday.

i got a question. for the filler paper, can i buy 12 of them? since it says limit of 6 but its bogo.

Becca July 29, 2011 at 5:47 am

Sadly, there is not an Officemax in my area. After seeing your post about the sales at Officemacx I checked out Staples to see if they had any good sales. They definitely are, like 100 HP Photo paper .50 after mail in rebate.

Becca July 29, 2011 at 5:49 am

Sorry I meant 100 count HP Photo paper. I was so excited about it I left out a word.

Our Walmart will usually run their school supplies for .05-.10 each in early September to move what is remaining. This is when I stock up and don’t even have to use coupons. Sometimes we have coupons that make them free.

Brandi July 29, 2011 at 5:34 pm

I got 6 filler papers and 6 notebooks (didn’t need any pens since I got 30 for free in the Target deal a couple weeks ago). Since I’m a teacher, I had 3.00 in perks (for recycling 1 ink cartridge), so I also got a dry erase board for .99, making my trip entirely free!!!

sydney July 30, 2011 at 3:58 am

I was able to get 12 filler papers for $1.20 and 5 notebooks for $1 and 7 of the 10 pack pens for $1 because they also had that for buy 2 get 1 free. So i was able to get two free. I also got 2 mini pencil sharpeners for a penny each. They ran out of the eraser caps for a penny. In total it all came out to around $3.50. Great deals, thank you.

Terri July 30, 2011 at 10:48 am

I got 6 filler paper, 5 notebooks and 5 pens and it was $2.53! Awesome deal. :)

Brittany Barden July 30, 2011 at 10:30 pm

I did the same deal plus 2 pencil sharpeners and 2 packs of 25 erasers and spent $2.61. I was so excited!!!

We had a little trouble ringing up though… make sure that the cashier scans the coupon once for every purchase (for example, 6 times if you’re buying 6 filler papers). The first time she just scanned each coupon once and it didn’t give me the discounts. :)

Ugh! Wish I’d seen this sooner. We have an office max here and I’d have loved to have taken advantage of this sale. Oh well…will wait till walmart clearances everything.
