You can also order online if you don’t want the hassle of going to the store and finding they’re sold out. I just put in an order for two back sacks with our university’s logo; three packs of index cards; two reams of paper; two packs of file folders and I qualified for free shipping. All my items were 100% max rewards, plus I signed up with the teacher rewards (homeschooler) so I wonder if I will get the extra $10 for spending over $75? If so, then it will be a super deal!
I would like to ask others though what they use their rewards on? Can you buy gift cards in the store with them? Thanks!!
Regarding gift cards: I’m waiting on an answer from the online Customer Service, but my local OfficeMax said I can’t purchase ANY gift cards with my rewards. Others have posted that they have, though, so you may get lucky.
I usually use my rewards to buy ink, but I’ve read a lot of people “roll” their rewards by waiting to purchase more items that give them rewards!
Yes, I also am going to see if I can get this deal online–the only problem is, they don’t allow using more than one reward card ONLINE.
I hope they’ve changed that or are planning to.
got a response today about gift cards:
“Thank you for your MaxPerks inquiry. Until recently you could purchase gift cards with rewards. Starting July 25th that is not longer the policy in the OfficeMax stores. The only gift card that can be purchased is the OfficeMax gift card.”

Interesting, I also emailed them at got a reply saying they can’t be used on any gift card : “A MaxPerks reward card can be used to purchase anything expect for OfficeMax and Blackhawk (non-OfficeMax gift cards). ” Yet in their FAQ it states that they can’t be used on OfficeMax giftcards and there’s no mention as to other giftcards. I’m hoping they’ll honor this as I was planning on getting Build a Bear giftcards with the maxperks from the bags.
