And I’m so excited to be giving away 20 sets of four books to readers here this week. If you’re looking for a good read-aloud for your children, I highly recommend these books. Our children have been riveted and on the edge of their seats through each and every chapter. In fact, we usually read no less than five to eight chapters as a time because I can’t bear to say no to their begging for me to read more.
While not true stories, they have many historical facts and figures included in them — and this has provided a springboard for many great discussions. For instance, the girls are now quite familiar with who the Vikings were, as well as where and how they lived. We’re studying the Vikings in Kathrynne’s homeschool curriculum in the Fall and I’m thrilled they already have some background in place, thanks to Voyage With the Vikings.
This series has four books published so far: Voyage with the Vikings, Attack at the Arena, Peril in the Palace, and Revenge of the Red Knight. Another eight books are planned for the series and we will most definitely be reading ever one of them!
