THANKS, I love the WSJ — :) I’ve learned so much!

Casey June 11, 2011 at 11:32 am

Thanks, I’ve been looking for an offer on WSJ recently!

priya June 11, 2011 at 11:51 am

I do not know about this paper do they have coupons…

Erika June 11, 2011 at 12:50 pm

@priya,

No they don’t have coupons. They are a financial paper only :) .

Sarah June 11, 2011 at 4:13 pm

Actually they do have coupons on Saturday, at least in Colorado and Nebraska!

Rae June 11, 2011 at 7:16 pm

None in TX :(

Brandy June 11, 2011 at 10:24 pm

Great Paper and yes it has coupons. To bad this offer is over!

kate June 12, 2011 at 8:07 pm

WSJ offers coupons in 24 metro area test markets, but not in all areas. see: http://www.dmnews.com/news-america-marketing-to-run-coupon-insert-in-journal/article/176852/

I subscribed last time there was a free offer like this from rewards gold, and I ended up canceling the subscription a couple months ago because there are no coupons in it where I live.

Now, I get telemarketing calls from the wall street journal. I’m sure eventually they will take me off the list but it’s something to keep in mind. Maybe don’t give them your phone number if you don’t have to.

They are actually quite a bit more than a financial paper…..just like the New York Times, they have extensive world/current events/political articles, as well as human interest stuff- health, fashion, book reviews, etc. Lots of editorials, and an awesome weekend edition. I’m a WSJ junkie, and so thrilled to find this freebie!

Do you just have to join Rewards Gold to get the WSJ, or if not how many points do you have to earn to get it?

Rae June 11, 2011 at 2:50 pm

With rewards gold offers you just have to do a small (seriously only a few questions) survey on different things like your favorite yogurt, a razor etc (is different depending on the offer). It only takes a minute or two to finish and the offers are legit. :)

no they do not have coupons in most parts of the country. They are mostly financial though I did find a few good articles that were general news, entertainment, etc.

Carrie June 11, 2011 at 3:12 pm

As a former business reporter I agree that WSJ has some of the top feature writers in the country in addition to their extensive financial coverage. I used to listen every day on Audible.com when I had a membership to that.

I love their detail, in-depth stories !

arianna June 11, 2011 at 8:26 pm

I logged in and did a survey, but I did not get a confirmation that I will be getting the paper…should I have gotten one?

Anna June 11, 2011 at 9:26 pm

Had the same issue as Adrianna, went through everything but did not get any sort of confirmation, only received a “welcome to rewardsgold” email which said a followup email would arrive shortly with my member number, etc but nothing else has come. Has anybody received any sort of confirmation?

Anna June 11, 2011 at 9:40 pm

Just to followup on my last post – I just completed a new membership application directly through rewardsgold, not through the WSJ offer, and it says at the very end that you will be emailed your account information in 1-2 weeks.

I thought my husband would like this newspaper, so awhile back when I found a free three month trial offer, I accepted and we have loved, loved, loved this paper! My husband looks for the latest copy on the counter each day and reads it cover to cover. He is always reading me some cool thing that he has found and I really enjoy hearing the stuff he tells me. I occasionally pick it up to and I have found quite a few interesting articles! Definitely a whole lot more than a financial paper, lots and lots to read in these papers. I signed up the last time under my name and this time under his, I am hoping that our subscription will continue. It has been well over the three month trial and we are still getting the paper without any bills, weird, the only thing that comes in the mail are offers for new subscription offers, but no bills stating that we owe anything or need to cancel. Very happy about that!
