My eldest stepdaughter will be so stoked to see this! She loved making pretzels!
I REALLY want to try this! I’m in luck too! I happen to have all of the ingredients in my pantry. Hmmm how can I fit this into our homeschool lesson tomorrow..
Thanks for the recipe!
we tried this the other day when the rain was too bad to risk a trip to the mall (and I foolishly made the mistake of telling my two year old that we were going and that she could split a pretzel with me…rare treat for both of us, and we were both sad we weren’t able to leave the house). They were wonderful. My daughter made cinnamon and sugar ones (shaped like the letter A, because that’s what she’s working on right now) and my friend and I made salted, parmesan cheese, and garlic salt. We covered all of ours in butter before adding topping, just because butter is yummy! Again, we loved them. They were worth the effort!
We made these several times using a slightly different recipe. My kids love making different shapes based on the seasons. For Easter we’ll make cross shaped pretzels, and for Christmas we did Christmas trees and snowmen. I also made a huge batch for New Year’s Eve, and we did it as an entire family-my inlaws included-to pass the time until midnight. They freeze well too.
Love this recipe! They came out so good. I used cooking spray instead of oil and had to respray a few times on my board while shaping the pretzels.
Will these freeze well? I would love to make them, but I don’t know if I can eat them all before they go bad! Can anyone help?
