Thanks Crystal! My Granddaughter is 15 and on Wednesday Bible Study at Church, she babysits the children and does crafts with them and relates them to Bible stories. The kids can plant the seeds in egg shells This might be a tie in to the “Teach a man to fish” tale. But instead is teaching a child to grow their own food. I thought they could transplant them into patio planter pots and check out the progress at Church each week. Homeschoolers might enjoy this project, too. Here is a “how to” for everyone on the cutest seedling sprouting idea using colored empty egg shells for planting the seeds.

Can I reply to my own post? After seeing the picture of the finished eggshell planter, I noticed it sitting in a little salt well. Why not use a childproof cap from an empty vitamins container? have some colorful ones from natural vitamins. We’ll use the empty plastic bottles for another project I have in mind. I bet some vegetable oil, salad dressing, etc bottle tops might work, too.
