Don’t forget that shipping can get pretty pricey.

Just a heads up, swagbucks is offering 900 swagbucks for proflower purchases, IF you were planning on purchasing this. So be sure to go through swagbucks when you redeem your voucher.

I too had seen the 900 Swagbucks for Valentine’s purchases from ProFlowers (which are up to 50% off right now!) but when I read the Swagbucks fine print it said no other coupons could be used with that offer. Does anyone know if that means you won’t get the 900 SB if you combine this Rue La La deal with the 50% off sale at ProFlowers? Thanks!

It’s great that you actually read the fine print! I probably will not end up canceling transactions if I do that lol. I can’t say for sure but it seems with the trial play offers all they care about is that you complete the transaction. You have nothing to loose either way.

FYI, Pro Flowers Standard shipping (not including delivery on weekends) is about $10, and they will charge about $3 for “handling” and also perhaps tax depending on where you live.

I *THINK* that since this is a deal where you get a promotion code… to enter at checkout, it *should* combine with other deals but I have *NOT* yet had a chance to try this out (takes up to 24 hours to get the code from Rue La La). . .use your own judgment. :-)

****Possible great deal “sweetener” — I noticed when I was placing an item in my cart at ProFlowers (testing to find the shipping price) that there is a promotion where if you buy $19.99 worth of product before shipping (I actually didn’t see anything less than $19.99), you will get a free one year subscription to Reader’s Digest! Now, if you like RD, that’s great, but I think this is even better: Read it all thru here (http://www.proflowers.com/MagazineOfferDetails.aspx?mpn=FLN_RDIGEST ) and notice they say that you can get a $9.99 REBATE instead of the subscription if you send a the proofs of purchase they ask for within 30 days after your purchase! *****

If you haven’t seen the deal currently running at Swagbucks for the equivalent of about $6.50 back ($10 if you redeem for Amazon GC) — it’s not on the homepage banner at the moment– signin and look on this page: http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-special-offers
Look for “Save 50% at Pro Flowers and get 900 SB”

I didnt buy this for several reasons. The shipping cost is crazy, you can combine offers and use the voucher and quality. I have bought flowers several times at full cost and practically free from several places including pro flowers. i am always gravely disappointed with the flowers. They NEVER look like the flowers in the picture and usually are half dead and die totally really quickly. I have found that buying a few of the 3/$10 arrangements at Publix or even the flowers they have at Walmart on sale or for $5-$7 that i can make a much nicer arrangement than the ones I have ever bought. Course if you are not near the person you want to give them to then that makes things more difficult but if they are for yourself or for someone that is close in your area do yourself a favor and so it yourself!

I agree that flowers purchased locally can often look much nicer. I did want to mention that if you have any problems with ProFlower arrangements (don’t last for a week, look wilted, etc.), they’ll send out another arrangement free of charge.

We did this once and the second set of flowers were worst than the first!

Trinity February 8, 2011 at 9:42 am

Yes, they do that. I had a problem with last year where I ordered flowers for my girls for Valentines Day and they were almost completely dead on the first day we got them. They offered to send another and i was happy but then those only lasted 2-3 days. So I have pretty much given up on the whole flower delivery thing. I bought some at Walmart for my Daughters birthday in September and did an arrangement myself and most of them lasted almost a month! Big difference!
