We don’t watch the Super Bowl since we observe media-free Sundays, but that won’t dissuade me from trying to get a free Papa John’s Pizza! :)

If the Super Bowl goes into overtime on Sunday (February 6, 2011), everyone who is signed up for Papa John’s Rewards will get 25 free points added their account — enough to get a free large Papa John’s Pizza with up to three toppings.

Sign up for the Papa John’s Rewards Program (it’s free!) by midnight on February 5, 2011, to be eligible for this offer.

Thanks, Northern Cheapskate!

Just did this! Make sure you finish making your account and then enroll in the papa points.

michelle January 31, 2011 at 8:46 am

I made my account but can’t figure out how to enroll in the papa points.

Sarah January 31, 2011 at 8:58 am

go to “My Account” and then scroll down to “Papa Points.” You’ll then get the green “enroll” button. hope that helps!

Shari January 31, 2011 at 9:09 am

Thank you but I looked for where it should say papa’s points and it is not there. Have you ordered from them before? Maybe you have to get points first????

Kathryn January 31, 2011 at 9:19 am

I’ve having the same problem. I was already registered and have ordered from them before. (I was registered for the website, not for papa’s points.)

Sara January 31, 2011 at 12:08 pm

I was already registered also but not enrolled in Papa points. Go to “Account” then go down to “papa points” and click the +. It should have an enroll button.

Kathryn January 31, 2011 at 12:47 pm

Thanks, but no go. I see the screen shots they give, too. When I go to Account it looks just like that (green plus signs and all) except the only options are: +”Personal Info” + “Sign In Information” +”Payment Information” +”Communication Preferences”. It says only select locations participate in papa points… maybe somehow all the ones near me (central Texas) don’t participate? Oh well!

Alex February 1, 2011 at 2:47 pm

I’m having the same problem, and I’m in North Texas…I guess around us the Papa John’s isn’t participating. Let me know if you are able to enroll!

Alex February 2, 2011 at 6:55 pm

I was able to get it to work today. Papa John’s sent me an email saying that I had made an account. I went through the email to the site and logged in. I chose the Papa John’s location closest to me, and then went to “my account” and was able to enroll for the Papa’s Points! I hope you are able to enroll as well… and I’m hoping the Super Bowl goes into over time! :)

Shari January 31, 2011 at 8:47 am

I made an account but can’t find under my account where it says papa’s points. Help!

Paige January 31, 2011 at 4:25 pm

I had to fight with a few ways. Click on the order now and then go to my account and then look down for the papa points plus sign. It took me three navigating tries to get it to come up. seemed like something about the account not being activated until you try to order. I did finally get signed up for an account AND then papa’s points. Good luck!

Rebekah January 31, 2011 at 9:09 am

I’m having the same problem Shari. There is not anything coming up under “My Account.”

michelle January 31, 2011 at 9:13 am

I think I finally figured it out. You have to set up a Papa Johns location under you account. Once I did that then I saw the option under my account to enroll in Papa Points.

Shari January 31, 2011 at 11:14 am

Thanks! I got it to work!!!

Brandi S January 31, 2011 at 9:16 am

I enrolled thanks :)

Megan January 31, 2011 at 9:25 am

I could never do media-free Sundays…football is life!

Kari January 31, 2011 at 9:28 am

Same problem here… no pace to enroll in “Papa Points” after setting up my account!

Erika January 31, 2011 at 9:30 am

i had to set a specific store in my account before additional links appeared in my account management page. but once the store was set, all i had to do was click ‘enroll’ on the papa’s points row.

Amber January 31, 2011 at 9:37 am

Thanks, Erica! After I set my store I was able to enroll. :0)

Mandy January 31, 2011 at 9:30 am

Having the same problem as everyone else, it seems. I enrolled, but I don’t have an option to click “papa’s points”!

Pam January 31, 2011 at 9:42 am

I had to logout and back in to see the Papa Points listed under my account to enroll.

Carrie January 31, 2011 at 10:41 am

If the Superbowl goes into overtime, I will have a lot more to worry about than getting free pizza, because I’m sure my Packers-loving father would never survive the stress! He’s already so nervous about the game that he’s planning out his Sunday morning to provide distractions for himself.

Sarah January 31, 2011 at 11:03 am

Where’s the “Like” button for this comment?? :)

Tammy January 31, 2011 at 7:58 pm

Carrie that is so funny.Back in 2008 I was stressed out only to see my Patriots loose in the last 36 seconds. They went 18-1 that year.Still despise the Giants.

Elizabeth January 31, 2011 at 11:06 am

I finally figured it out too, you have to put a location.
I don’t want to discourage anyone but according to my husband it is very rare that a superbowl goes into overtime. As far as he knows it’s never happened before. Maybe once…Of course, I’d sign up for the pizza anyway because you never know. Go Packers!

Sarah in MO January 31, 2011 at 12:58 pm

Thank you! Papa John’s pizza is yummy! I’d love to win a free pizza (although I’m not expecting that it will actually happen :) ).

Merrilee January 31, 2011 at 1:20 pm

Crystal, I’m curious about your media-free Sundays. What does it include or exclude? (Is music/mp3 player on the list?) How long have you been doing this? (Did you have to wean yourself, or were you raised that way from childhood?) I’ve thought about doing this, and I know it would require whole-family cooperation. Just interested in ways to gradually move that direction, rather than going “cold turkey.” Your input is appreciated. Thanks. (And as for the pizza offer, I come from a Papa Murphy’s family, but they aren’t in our region. So we make our own instead.)

Crystal January 31, 2011 at 1:37 pm

It includes computer and tv and it’s something we’ve practiced for the last five years or so. When we started, we went cold turkey and it’s been such a blessing to really help facilitate a quiet family day of rest, worship and spending time fellowshipping with friends and family.
