From The Freebie Blogger:

Each year on the first Friday in February, thousands of the nation’s dentists and their dental team members provide free oral health care services to children from low-income families across the country. To find a program near you, click here for contact information in your area.

While the first Friday of February is the recommended event date, this may take place at another time in your area.

I just want to say we were very pleased with the quality of care we received from SmilePartners, which came to my children’s school (WA state). The dental treatment wasn’t free, but came at a greatly reduced cost, which was a huge blessing when my husband lost his job–and benefits.

Make sure to check with your school district. Many schools, especially in urban districts, offer free medical and dental services to their students. Parents need to sign their children up and sign permission for their children to receive this service (usually for free) at school. The nice part is that this service is usually offered throughout the school year. It can’t hurt to ask!
