Love this! I haven’t wanted to spend money on photoshop just for a blog header. Thanks!

This has come at the perfect time! I just started a blog, and had been spending hours a night trying to make a header in photoshop, I finally gave up three days ago. I just don’t understand it! But this looks so much more simple, thanks for sharing!

Awesome. I’ve been trying to make one I really liked, but without photoshop I thought I was stuck. I’ll give it a try.

We also have an easy tutorial for making your blog button easy to grab with the text box for code underneath. It’s not scary at all (over 200 people have left positive comments) and we are always willing to help.

Thanks for linking to this! I made one for my blog, and it was really easy: http://liverichandfree.blogspot.com/

Ok by “really easy” I still mean I messed it up like 8 times, so the fact that I can do it means that really anyone can!

I’m restarting a new blog after having a blog for 2 years, then taking almost a year off due to illness I wasn’t sure I was gonna recover from. I can’t afford professional blog design but don’t like the generic templates and designs that it seems everyone has.

Can anyone recommend a site or book or anything that would help me, who knows NOTHING about blog or web design or HTML, figure out how to build my own website for Word Press? My reasons for starting a blog have always been for helping people but our income is just a tiny disability income now and it’s financially necessary for me to find some source of income since I can’t work outside my home and neither can my husband.

I’d appreciate any tips or pointers, as well as anyone who could point me in the direction of finding some work from home legit opps like freelance writing, which is what I’d love to do! I put a LOT of blood, sweat and tears into my other blog and it kills me to have to start completely over but at least i know more now than I did then! My biggest challenge was always finding companies to work with and gaining exposure, just because I had no idea how to approach people. That much I can learn on my own but the technical side of it is just out of my reach at the moment.

Sorry I’m so wordy! Thanks for any help anybody can provide. I miss blogging and the relationships it forms.

I’d highly recommend that blog, http://www.BloggingWithAmy.com. She actually is part of the MoneySavingMom.com team, but has an amazing blog teaching you how to set up your own blog.

Also, have you read my Becoming a Work-At-Home Mom series? http://moneysavingmom.com/becoming-a-work-at-home-mom-series I think you would find it really encouraging.

Thank you so much for this! I’m just starting out and was wondering how everyone had fancy looking headers =) I use Picasa for basic picture editing, but had never looked around to see what else it could be used for.

The process was super easy, too! Check out what I did… http://www.livingandlearningathome.blogspot.com
