Here’s all my favorite cleaning products–including a good veggie/fruit wash too–

The vinegar is my name – Laura Lynn!!
Oh the little things that make me happy….!
Thank you for the feature Crystal!
@Laura Yes.. that is the off brand for Ingles (super market in the south). It is actually the name of the owner’s daughter.
We keep a spray bottle of white vinegar and water and another spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide (can be found in dark colored spray bottle form at WalMart first aide section) in the kitchen. We spray fruits and veggies with both (do not mix the two in one spray bottle). I wash/soak leafy veggies in a tub of water with vinegar or hp added.
I’ve never added the lemon as that’s just another cost but I’m sure the scent would be nice!
Do you have to use this in a spray bottle? Couldn’t you fill up a bowl with the ingredients (doubled, tripled, whatever) and soak several fruits (like if you buy five apples) at once, then rinse?
@Amanda, You definitely could soak several at once. What I have heard is that washing fruits before eating could cause them to spoil sooner. Not sure if that is true or not.
