I made a huge batch of this and packaged it cutely for my sister-in-law and her husband last year for Christmas. It is one of her favorite sweets. She is highly allergic to nuts which rulls out alot of the goodies people make this time of the year.

By the way Crystal, I don’t know if you even read all the comments, but I wanted to tell you how much i love the Do-It-Yourself posts. One of the biggest money savers I have found, is simply making and doing things myself. These post give me such fabulous ideas! I hope you will continue these year round :)

Thanks for your kind encouragement! I’ve been so inspired, too. I’m planning to continue these after Christmas, as well, with ideas which could be implemented year-round.

I actually just finished a batch of mint chocolate bark, using a recipe on the Toll-House website. You just put the mint and dark chocolate chips on a parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer, melt in the oven about 3 minutes until shiny, and then use a fork to swirl them together. I also put crushed candy canes on the top. This is great if you don’t have a double boiler.

I’m a Pampered Chef consultant, they have a Peppermint Crunch Recipe that looks so fancy, it has 2 kinds of chocolate. I haven’t made it yet, as I discovered the recipe yesterday. hopefully this link will take you to the recipe, ENJOY http://www.pamperedchef.com/recipe_search/recipe.jsp?id=95174
