So happy to be learning from wise women! Thanks for your thoughtful and enriching blog, Crystal.

So excited to learn these methods! I was curious if the extract of plantain would be as affective as soaking the herbs in oil? Are the herbs for scent purposes mostly or healing purposes? Also, can this salve or the lotion bars be used as lip balm or if there a better recipe? My son and I have extremely dry and sensitive skin. I would also appreciate a recipe for soap and liquid lotion if someone has one they would like to share. Wonderful ideas ladies!

I love how you make this sound so do-able! Where did you find those adorable heart-shaped tins? They take this from “home-made” to “spa quality!”

@J.J., I found those on Ebay. They were Brighton jewelry tins.

just yesterday I learned about lotion in a bar, I believe the blog passionatehomemaking is where I 1st saw hardlotion, she shared the link, to http://www.hardlotion.com the lady there sells them, but also shares her recipe (in the D.I.Y. section) plus she shows you how to make it in a video. Only 3 natural ingredients and she recommends purchasing your ingredients through OilsbyNature and if you use the code, she lists you get 5% off

what I learned from OilsbyNature, vitamin E could be added to it to extend the shelf life..but if you are like me you’ll use it up before it expires

Is there a way to make cheap liquid hand soap?

I have a foam dispenser, that I put liquid soap & water in. Does anyone know if it was possible to make liquid hand soap? Or I may be better off buying the big container of liquid soap at Sam’s Club and stop wasting my time trying to find a good deal on liquid soap with sales & coupons.
