Has anyone tried this brand? I always use Libbys and once tried the Aldi’s brand which was terrible in comparison.

I have used it to make the pumpkin-chocolate chips muffins and it worked great.

@Ericka Lewis,

I love this brand! I buy it at Whole Foods. Just used some this weekend for Cream Cheese Pumpkin muffins – yum!

@Ericka Lewis, I haven’t tried this brand, but I would suggest you read the reviews (and the comments to the “most helpful critical review”). I just scanned them, and many people seem to be having problems with severely dented cans from this manufacturer.

I just used it for Pumkin Roll and it was delicious!

Mmmm yum! I love the no coupon, no running to the store deals:-)

Wasn’t the Amazon Mom deal a non-auto renewing deal? I thought that’s what it said.

Crystal December 28, 2010 at 9:15 am

Yes, but anything you order through Subscribe & Save will auto-charge you (since you’re signing up for a subscription) unless you cancel it.

I LOVE this brand. I buy it at Harris Teeter, where it is $2.50 on sale. This is a great deal!!! Thanks Crystal!

Woo-hoo! Pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin muffins…I can’t wait! (I have a super-yummy, healthy pumpkin pancake recipe I got from my sis if anyone’s interested…mmm!!) Pumpkin deals have been scarce the last couple of years!

Thanks, Crystal!

Yes please :) Can you post it here?? Thanks!!!!

Susan (FrugaLouis) December 29, 2010 at 10:02 am

@MichelleA,
Sure, Michelle! Here it is:

Pumpkin Pancakes (I usually double and use one can of pumpkin)
Blend Dry Ingredients:
1 cup flour (w/ some whole wheat)
~1 T ground flaxseed
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2 T sugar
some cinnamon/pumpkin pie spice

Mix Together:
2T (or a tad less) melted butter
1 egg
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2-1 cup pumpkin puree

Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients all at once and barely stir enough to mix together. Add more yogurt/milk as desired…these make pretty thick pancakes. We’ve found it best to make small cakes because the batter’s so thick.

Enjoy!

Awesome… THANKS a bunch!! I cant wait to make em’. :)

You may want to check the reviews on amazon. While the pumpkin received good reviews, many commenters complained of the cans being extremely dented.

Anna J December 28, 2010 at 11:26 am

For anyone concerned about dented cans, I noticed that the newer reviews were much more pleasant, which is why I ended up getting two cases – they just arrived today and only one can has a very small dent (normally I probably wouldn’t have even noticed) and they are 10/2013 exp date. Just fyi that I didn’t have any problems.

Great deal! Plus I used 2 amazon $5 gift cards that I got from swagbucks. 20 cents for 12 cans of pumpkin!

Jennifer December 28, 2010 at 8:18 pm

Thanks! What a great deal! We love pumpkin bread around here.

Abby December 30, 2010 at 12:04 pm

I just received my order of three cases in the mail today taking a gamble on the dented cans. Two-thirds of the three boxes were dented cans. Very disappointed. I did contact Amazon and they have taken care of it but I would have rather had the pumpkin not the refund.

Rae December 30, 2010 at 10:23 pm

I also took the gamble and received my pumpkin today but luckily I didn’t have a single dented can so I was very pleased. Thank you for sharing the deal :)
