If you didn’t get the $5/1 game coupon in your SmartSource insert yesterday, there are two printables which make for free and almost-free games at Target:

Hungry Hippos Travel Game — $4.99 (people are saying they are finding these in the stocking stuffers section at Target)
Use $5/1 printable coupon (or from the 12/5 SmartSource insert)
Free after coupon (Thanks, Sandy!)

Pictureka Card Games — $5.24
Use $5/1 printable coupon
$0.24 after coupon (Thanks, My Frugal Adventures!)

getting told I printed it out already -never did–oh well

Alisha December 6, 2010 at 9:50 am

I was able to print the first one, but it told me I had already printed the second – which I haven’t. Glad to get one though!

M Johnson December 6, 2010 at 7:54 pm

@ann b, I was able to print 4 of each coupon, two computers at home. I went to Target today and got 2 of the hungry hippo travel games and the two of the pictureka without any problems. Hope it works for everyone!

Lisa December 6, 2010 at 9:50 am

didn’t work for me either…

WilliamB December 6, 2010 at 9:51 am

Good one! I rarely give to toy drives because they require new-in-wrapping toys, which I rarely have. This I can manage. I wonder how many I can print…

WilliamB December 6, 2010 at 7:37 pm

@WilliamB, I struck out. No $5 Hungry Hippos at my Target, only $15 ones.

Kathy December 18, 2010 at 2:14 am

The travel games are in the stocking stuffer section of the store, not with the toys and games. Since they are only $4.99, the $5 coupon would not go through in my Target. But it seems that others have gotten their coupons to go through.

Amy December 6, 2010 at 9:55 am

ARG! It figures. I just bought some of these coupons on Ebay. I guess Toys for Tots is going to get a LOT of free toys.

Connie Adams December 6, 2010 at 9:56 am

I was able to print it twice as a stackable coupon — YAY!

nelia December 6, 2010 at 10:01 am

I got two newspapers yesterday, planing on going after pick up son from school. My church will get them for their toy drive :) thank you!

For those people like me that the link above didn’t work, here’s the direct link on hasbro’s page. http://www.hasbro.com/games/en_US/shop/special-offers.cfm#
hopefully that works. It ouln’t let me copy and paste. :)

Kelly December 6, 2010 at 10:25 am

@Rhonda, Thank you! Worked perfectly :)

Mary December 6, 2010 at 10:39 am

@Rhonda, Thank you, it worked for me, the original link did not.

Julie December 6, 2010 at 10:41 am

@Rhonda, Thanks!

Jennifer B. December 6, 2010 at 11:26 am

@Rhonda, Please aceept my thanks as well. I had received the message I’d already printed the coupon (but hadn’t) when I used Crystal’s link.

Thank you Crystal for posting this. And thanks to your considerate readers for sharing!

Bren December 6, 2010 at 10:48 am

I bought the Pictureka card game last Christmas with a similar deal & used it as a stocking stuffer for my son. I was appalled when I looked at it….one game you are supposed to find pictures of smelly things….stinky feet are funny, but do I really need to see pictures of a pile of manure with flies? or an animal with gas issues? I literally pulled a half dozen or more cards from the deck & tossed them. Just thought I’d give a heads up to those who may be unaware of the content. Hope you don’t mind me posting this Crystal…I just shudder to think of people giving them as gifts & having no clue what’s inside the box ;o(.

Teresa December 6, 2010 at 11:43 am

@Bren, I found the same thing on these. Not something I would let my kids play with. Somethings are just not funny. My husband threw our away and said “Something free are reallt not worth it.”

Laura December 6, 2010 at 5:38 pm

Good to know; thanks for sharing! My kids love the game Taboo, but I had to pull out several cards I thought were too mature.

M December 6, 2010 at 8:40 pm

@Bren, Good to know. Thanks for sharing this. I bought two sets today. I teach 5th grade and on cold winter/rainy days, we have inside recess so I let my students play board games. I had planned to let my students use these cards for that so I will definitely have to pull out those few cards. I can only imagine what it would stir up with a bunch of ten year olds if I left them in the stack!

Christie Holmes December 6, 2010 at 12:30 pm

I went to Walmart and got 4 of them @ $0.24 each! Thanx!!!

yvette December 6, 2010 at 12:35 pm

I got this yesturday, paid the 24 cents and once i opened it there is a 5 dollar coupon good on hasbro games.

Erin December 7, 2010 at 12:11 pm

@yvette, I went to my local (in Kansas) Target this morning and someone had opened up every single Pictureka game and taken the $5 off coupons from inside!! I checked all of the boxes and there was only one that was fine (so I bought that box, obviously!). There were a few other games that had this promo printed on the box and those were all opened and robbed, too. How frustrating!

Mel December 6, 2010 at 2:18 pm

My Target store also had Trivial Pursuit card game. I wasn’t sure if this was an appropriate use of the Trivial Pursuit coupon, so I asked the customer service associate. She said she thought it was fine, she scanned it and the coupon took off the balance with no problem. I was able to get that one for .24 also! This is great for older kids, stocking stuffer, etc. So happy to get a few games. We’re big on family game night in my house!

Rebekah {honeyandcheese} December 7, 2010 at 12:55 pm

@Mel, Ooh, I’ll have to look for those. We love Trivial Pursuit. :)

Ruby Venne December 6, 2010 at 8:45 pm

dont have one at this time thanks for all the info.

Amanda December 6, 2010 at 8:53 pm

Thanks for sharing these great printable coupons bc I did not get the SS one. I called Target first thing this morning and had them hold the Hungry Hippo games for me. I’m so glad I did bc by the time I was able to go to Target tonight there were none left on the shelves. I also got the Pictureka card game.

Rebekah {honeyandcheese} December 7, 2010 at 12:54 pm

I was able to get several of the coupons from the paper and I’m going to use many to give away to some area families who can’t afford Christmas gifts, but I thought I’d offer a couple of the coupons to someone here.

If you weren’t able to print the coupon and you would be able to use one of the games, please send me an e-mail with your name and mailing address, as well as which coupons you’re interested in. I’ve got enough to send to at least three people.

Jenn December 7, 2010 at 4:39 pm

My target does not have the travel size hungy hippos. Does anyone know any other stores that sell it? Thanks!

Sherry December 8, 2010 at 11:15 pm

I purchased the travel HH at Walmart with the Coupons. $0.44 cents each. I had 4 coupons. Thanks alot!

Heather December 9, 2010 at 10:23 pm

I printed these from the Hasbro sight…went to Target and got Scrabble Slam for FREE…it rang up at $3.84…I got the Pictureka for $.04…Sorry Revenge for $1, and Trival Pursuit for $1.50. I was quite excited and can’t wait to use these as a White Elephant gift in my family gift exchange!! :-)

alisha December 10, 2010 at 12:11 am

@Heather, Hi! I was just wondering how you got particular games? They aren’t the ones listed on the site to use the coupons on… does the coupon say something different when it prints out? I don’t want to waste my ink by printing it out if I won’t be able to use it:) Thank you!

Heather December 10, 2010 at 12:39 am

When my coupons from the hasbro site printed one was for scrabble flash, pictureka, etc another one had trivial pursuit and catch phrase and another one said something about sorry…I checked the upc code and the first 5 digits matched the travel games so I got them. The coupons were not specifically for the “travel” games but they all matched up and everything was smooth…:) I printed coupons twice and I’d suggest doing that so that you can use one coupon for pictureka and one for scrabble, etc

Nicole December 12, 2010 at 9:49 pm

I was just looking at the coupons I got, some were from tearpads at Walmart, and all the $5 off coupons had the exact same barcode to scan on them, so they’d probably work on any Hasbro game variety listed.

Star @ A Load Of Craft December 15, 2010 at 12:34 pm

Okay guys what is wrong with me? I go to the website and it gives me a code to enter on their website to get the $5 off but I don’t see anything about printing out a coupon… help please? Thanks! :)

Eliza December 15, 2010 at 1:00 pm

@Star @ A Load Of Craft, I think the coupons are gone now. I printed some other day but now when I came back to print some more from another computer and they’re gone. Sorry.

Star @ A Load Of Craft December 15, 2010 at 3:19 pm

@Eliza, oh well, at least i have a couple smartsource ones :) thanks for getting back to me
