This is wonderful! My almost 5 year old daughter LOVES this game!
I was able to do this recently with a remnant of Spongebob flannel. My son begged me to get it when we were at Joann, and I had no idea what I was going to do with just under a yard of Spongebob fabric! But the pattern was squares with the different characters, so I thought it might work for that. It worked great!

My mom did something similar, but made it into a quilt. The child can sit on the quilt and find the squares that match.
