I’ve tried this before on my 2 year-old when he had an awful cough. I did 1/2 Eucalyptus and 1/2 peppermint in olive oil, put it on his chest, and feet and it really helped him to stop the coughing within an hour. I don’t go without peppermint or eucalyptus oils in my household.

Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to find some of these oils. Our pediatrician told me, this week, that Vicks on the feet helps, she didn’t know why but had heard that from several patients.

Where can I get eucalyptus oil? I looked at Walmart one time, but could find any. I may have been looking in the wrong place.

I don”t know who knows this, but if you put vicks on any persons feet, including infants and adults, before bed cover them with socks they should stop coughing within 30 mins. for the night! Love this trick! Works way better than any cough medicine! Its raw onions in the socks for a fever!
