Carmen from Life Blessons re-purposed some items she had around her house and created a Corkboard Travel Map. I was envisioning how this map could also be used for homeschool geography lessons.
By the way, Carmen’s blog was a new one to me and I couldn’t help but poke around it a little and was really blessed and inspired (even if I don’t really have a craft-y bone in my body!). I love her outlook on simplicity.

I love this map what a cute idea!!
OMSH had a similar idea to work on geography this year and it has even turned into a “Flat Stanley” project of sorts.

Carmen is clearly not from Michigan.
Nevertheless, great idea! Thanks for sharing!
@T, Ha! The funny thing is that I actually DID live in Michigan for a year. Unfortunately the template I used for cutting out the map, though, left the “mitten” out and since I’m no artist, I just went with it. But, at least ya get the idea!
Thanks for the link.
Crystal, Let the light within shine and continue to share as you are led.
Thanks for sharing the new simple living blog! Great ideas
My husband made me one of these for my birthday several years ago. Ours is a cutout US map that he glued onto cork board. We always put a push pin where ever we go together. Now it is hanging in our sons room. I love it.
Very Cute !! I love stuff like this!
Oh, thanks so much for posting this Crystal! I do think it could easily be outfitted for homeschool purposes, and I love how easily it made use of things I already had lying around the house. Thanks again!
