48-Hour Giveaway: $50 T.J. Maxx/Marshalls Gift Card (8 Winners)

Okay, so I have to admit something: I’ve never been to T.J. Maxx in my life — at least not that I can remember! But after I read up more on them in order to post about them for this giveaway, I realized I really should check them out. It sounds like I’ve been missing out a great place to get bargains.

T.J. Maxx and Marshalls offer a variety of items at a discount for just about everyone on your list — from foodies to fashionistas to children. They buy up extra stock from manufacturers and department stores, negotiate a low price and then pass on a lot of the savings.

They aim to offer one-stop shopping and, according to what I’ve read, they offer it at a significant discount from regular retail prices. Plus, they have 10,000 new items arriving each week in every store, so you just never know what surprises you’ll find!

Would you like to win a free $50 gift card to T.J. Maxx/Marshalls? Just click on the graphic below and type in your name and email address. Eight winners will be randomly chosen and posted on Monday. This giveaway ends Sunday, November 28, 2010, at 11:59 p.m. CST.

TJ MAXX is my favorite store. You can find really great deals there. My husband is a contractor and hasn’t had any real work in months. I work full time outside the home, still take care of all of the housework, children, clip coupons, search bargains, and do on-line surveys. It still doesn’t seem to be enough to make ends meet. I would love to win the card so I can but my boys something for Christmas.

I love TJ Maxx/Marshalls! We have a Marshalls in the next town over; I love to window shop there!! We’ve found great deals on toys, clothes and housewares there over the years. Thanks for another great givewaway!!

TJ Maxx and Marshalls can be a lot of fun, especially when you find a great price on something you need. I suggest finding a time that you can go without the kids. Shopping that type of store usually requires a lot of hunting and a lot of time. It’s just so hard on the kids and in turn, it’s hard of mama too.

I worked at a T.J. Maxx for years during college. The best deals are always the clearance racks. They will keep marking them down and down until the item sells. The key is to find a store that keeps up with their markdown schedules, some do and some don’t. January they usually do a “final markdown” which are the best prices and usually yellow clearance stickers instead of red.
I regularly got basic clothing items for just a dollar or two. My favorite item from there was a 100% wool American Eagle winter pea coat for $19.99. That was 5 years ago and I wore it today.

I entered! Excited about this…this has been a tough year. I’m a single mom with one income and we have had no raise for 3 years now and my son had to have unexpected surgery this past summer. Bills, bills, bills..and can’t afford to buy anything for Christmas. Hope this works out!

I really love their store called Home Goods where you can find some really cool stuff for your home. I do go to Marshalls from time to time as well since we have one close by. I have found a few good deals, but am partial to Kohls actually. I would say their prices with sales and clearance are better than anywhere and I most always have a coupon to use there too. I worked for Kohls for about a year and a half right after college and I stocked up on awesome stuff for our house, mostly at clearance prices of 75% off or more. I don’t go there often anymore because I just don’t need a lot of stuff, but I did do a few Black Friday deals that were too good to pass up. I didn’t shop until 12:00 pm though – haha. I also like to get their after holiday decor clearance. Pretty much everything goes to clearance eventually at Kohls.

Crystal, you’re a bargain shopper and never been to TJ Maxx or Marshall’s? WOW! I think you live in a big city, though, so maybe your options are more so than mine. Here in my smaller city, TJ Maxx (we don’t have Marshall’s) and Ross are great bargain shopping stops, especially for department store type stuff at majorly discounted prices. I LOVE how TJ Maxx marks down their stuff. I usually always find something in the clearance section.
