Reader Tip: Work-from-home jobs available with NEW Corp

If you need/want a legit work at home job that pays hourly, every other Friday and has paid training, my company, NEW Corp Home-based Customer Care Representatives, is hiring for customer service and tech support. We opened a bunch of new training areas in several states – some that have virtual training available. I have been working for this company for four years now. -Rachel

I don’t know anything personally about this company, but I checked the website out and it looks legit. If you’re looking for a work-at-home job, check to see if they have a training center in your area. If so, you can read the Frequently Asked Questions to get a feel for what the job would entail. And then you can apply, if you’re interested.

Oh, thank you thank you thank you! This is perfect! I really hope it works out. What timing- yesterday we took a HUGE leap of faith which will ultimately be good, but will make finances so very hairy when they are already…stubbly? Ok, I’m done with that analogy.

@Sara, LOL!

Candice October 20, 2010 at 10:03 am

@Sara,

LOVE the analogy – nothing in my area but I pray it works out for you!

@Sara, I love it! Hopefully our finances are getting a shave soon, I would be great with some stubble! =)

Darn! Nothing where I am located; this would have been perfect though.

not in NY :( Perhaps we can pray that they will come the our states? Just a thought…

Nothing in my area, but this most not be what God has planned for me. Goodluck to those that try and keep us posted.

My husband has worked for NEW for 7 years now. It is a wonderful company! He worked from home for about two years then went back to the center and now in his current position is able to work from home three days a week. We LOVE it! Great advancement opportunities too!

@Kayla,
Can you give us a starting pay range.

Kayla October 20, 2010 at 9:12 pm

@diane, It really depends on your location as they base the pay rate on the cost of living for the specific locations in the US but I’d say anywhere between $8-$10.

I have a question. So even if the job is based virtually you can only apply for it if they’ve listed your city on their site? Is this the same for all virtual customer service jobs?

Mrs. B. October 20, 2010 at 2:16 pm

This would work out well for some families…..FYI: One of their FAQs says, “…up to 6 weeks” of on-site training (outside home).

Cathy October 20, 2010 at 4:02 pm

I think it’s great that you are putting this out to people, especially in today’s economic market. My research shows this is the customer service piece for the Asurion Phones (questions, technology, repair, return….). If I wanted to pursue this, I would have a similar question to ask their Customer Service line, to match Aisynia’s – if it’s ‘virtual’ help, what difference does it make what my area code is when I’m helping a customer? I live in Washington State, nowhere close to any of the cities on their list, yet still not India, etc. But, thank you again, MSM!!!

Jen October 20, 2010 at 7:49 pm

@Cathy, My guess would be it has something to do with what someone else mentioned about on-site training. You’d have to live fairly close to one of their offices.

NEW is a good company. They are a call center for warranties & service, etc. Companies contract with NEW to handle the service calls for their warranties, etc. We have a brick-&-mortar NEW here in Great Falls; they’ve been here for nearly 10 years. Interesting that they have started the at-home operation. nice.

Kimberly October 20, 2010 at 11:05 pm

I work for New right now….And yes there is 6 weeks of paid training which you will find is great considering some of the online places don’t pay for training and if they do its not usually so long.. The reason you have to make sure it’s in your area is because you have to do 4 weeks or so at a site. So the first 4 weeks or so are at a facility in your area where you go and learn the programs. It todays economy its nice to have a company that offers benefits,steady hours and a way to move up in the company! I saw where someone asked about pay. I know in my area its $9 an hr to start and they do have advances and raises and plenty of overtime too. If anyone wants to know more or maybe wants an email to be invited to a virtual meeting. Let me know my email is coupon4fun@yahoo.com

Does anyone know how often they recruit in new cities? Is this something worth checking again in a couple months, or does it take them years to add new cities? Just wondered…
