Thanks for posting this! It looks like you can get free shipping on all orders with the code SHIPTEN!!!

  • Jill October 04, 2010 at 07:19 am

There are several 20 page books one could choose… which one did you make? Is there one that equals the $40 deal?

  • Sara October 04, 2010 at 07:57 am

I’m not sure which one to make to get this deal, please help!!

    • Crystal October 04, 2010 at 08:03 am

It should take $40 off any Photo Book, so the $39.95 will be free. I’ve already ordered from them so I can’t try it out myself, but that’s what my reader told me.

  • laura October 04, 2010 at 08:21 am

I just signed up for the Picaboo free deal. I know that when I signed up for the promotion, I had a different code than that. But, you will receive an email with a code that you can use. My email said that is the 39.95 custom cover picaboo book. Hope that helps.

I never got an email just signed up and started making a book. How many pages can I add. Or have:)

    • Crystal October 04, 2010 at 11:16 am

It should be 20 pages, I believe.

  • Heather Young October 04, 2010 at 11:18 am

I think that should read 8×11. Picaboo doesn’t have an 8×8 book, only an 8×11 and 6×8. In any case, it applies to all 20-page Large Classic, Classic Leather or Classic Custom photo books.

    HTH!

  • Jill October 04, 2010 at 11:39 am

It works on any photobook not just the 8×8 one! I got the custom cover one that is 8.5×11 with the deal. I couldn’t combine the free shipping offer, but $9 is not bad at all! Thank you!

    When does this expire?

  • Natalie October 04, 2010 at 11:45 am

Did you have to download all the programs for this? Seems a lot more then snapfish & other on- line digital companies.

  • Nat October 04, 2010 at 11:48 am

Did anyone notice there is a lot to install for this companies on line programs? My computer is really questioning this. Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed this? (more then snapfish/shutterfly)

I’m not pleased with the process so far. First the facebook option wasn’t working, nor would it let me use my SD card or flash drive, so I actually had to make a folder with all these pics on it on my computer, which took an hour. Then readjusting all the photos to fit the book b/c they altered them all was a pain, but not too bad. Now I’m waiting for it to upload to order it and it’s taking a while ( it estimated 22 minutes). I will order it for the $9 but unless it’s 100% amazing I won’t order from them again.

What a great deal! I’ve been looking for a good price on a quality photo book for pictures from my first pregnancy. I was browsing around to see what the 8×8 book looks like. But I can’t find an 8×8. Do you know exactly where I need to go or the exact product I must create? I don’t want to spend time creating a book that isn’t the right one. Thanks!

    • Crystal October 04, 2010 at 02:18 pm

Hi, Amy! I had a typo earlier. It’s the 8×11 Photo Books that are free after the code. I hope that helps!

  • Barbra October 04, 2010 at 03:15 pm

You cannot combine the discounts – so you can’t get the free book and free shipping, although it does state ALL, you can only use one coupon code. Shipping is $8.99.

I also thought that the “easy” process wasn’t easy at all. First you have to download software. Then go through a LONG process of finding your pictures. I have mine pretty organized and it still took a long time. All-in-all it took over an hour to make the book even though I used the autofill option. It doesn’t let you choose a theme for the pages, so you had to drag and drop the backgrounds, layouts, etc. then go edit the pictures if they didn’t fit the way you want. I hope it looks great, otherwise I’ll stick with Walgreen’s!

    • Crystal October 04, 2010 at 03:30 pm

Hmm, I wonder if it depends upon your computer speed? All my photos loaded and were really simple to drag and drop in. I was surprised, because I thought it was going to be super tedious! I’m now collecting photos for my second book!

  • Laura October 04, 2010 at 07:27 pm

I tried this last time it was offered. I thought I would save my code. I made a book and did not use my code thinking that they would still accept it later. When I went to use the code the next time it refused it. I looked back on the e-mail and it didn’t say anything about using it right away. So I called and they said that I was no longer a new customer since I had already ordered a book. So I couldn’t use my code. They tried to make it right by crediting some money back to my card. That was a few months ago and I still have not received the credit that they promised.

My computer didn’t necessarily like the software either. The book seemed just as nice as some from other sites. I think I would stick to shutterfly or snapfish. I have had much better results from them.

  • Tara October 05, 2010 at 07:01 am

I used this code and it worked great. All my photos were already on my computer so that wasn’t a problem. Yes I did have to download the software, but as far as picture books go this is some of the best design software I have seen! I hope the book turns out great when I get it! I look forward to making more for sure! The mother in-law is done for Christmas thanks to this deal!

  • L. Olson October 06, 2010 at 02:09 pm

I used a free code to make a book for my parents. It turned out wonderfully and my mom just adored it! I hope to make another one soon!

  • Natalie October 06, 2010 at 05:54 pm

I agree, the process was a bit time consuming and not as user friendly as others, but worth it for a FREE album! Maybe they will ask for some feedback on how they can improve the process.
Thank you for posting this! :)

I’m so frusterated!! You said this went thru the end of October?? I had some plans messed up today, so instead spent half the day putting together a photo journal at Picaboo (yeah, I’m a perfectionist & love looking through my photos!) but now they say the code is expired! AGH! What did I do wrong??? I think I could shed a tear over the lost time, and I’m not about to pay $50 for it…

    • Crystal October 12, 2010 at 02:01 pm

Try contacting customer service about it. They are usually really good and will either issue you a new code or give you some great discount for being a first-time customer. So sorry for the issues!

      • Sarah Jean October 12, 2010 at 02:28 pm

@Crystal, Thanks, I did just that and they did give me a new code :o ) whew!

  • Alyssa October 14, 2010 at 06:42 am

    This is now expired :(

  • Amy October 14, 2010 at 10:12 am

Just tried using coupon….website says it’s expired.

    • Sarah Jean October 17, 2010 at 03:11 pm

@Amy, Actually, just call customer service and explain-they gave me a new code to use! :)
