{Expired} Plum District: Get a $40 Diapers.com gift certificate for only $20

by Crystal on September 23, 2010

Update: This deal is now sold out.

Through tomorrow, you can get a $40 Diapers.com gift certificate for only $20. Plus, since you can get free shipping at Diapers.com when you spend $49, you can essentially get $49 worth of diapers or cloth diapers from Diapers.com for only $29.

Here’s how to get this deal:

::Sign up for an account with Plum District, if you don’t have one already.

::Click on the “Buy” button for the Diapers.com voucher advertised on the homepage and pay $20 for a $40 gift certificate.

::Your gift certificate should show up in your account within 24 hours and will be redeemable beginning September 25, 2010. Limit one gift certificate per household. Must be redeemed in one order.

Please note that this gift certificate can only be used on products in the Diapers category at Diapers.com.

Update: When I first posted the deal this morning, you were able to use a coupon code to get your total down lower. They disabled the ability to be able to use coupon codes on this deal shortly after I posted, so I edited the post to reflect this change. It’s not as great of a deal as it was, but it’s still a good deal for those who like Diapers.com.

Where is the spot for a coupon code?

Jenny September 23, 2010 at 6:25 am

Yeah.. I’m not seeing a spot for a code either

Rachal September 23, 2010 at 6:25 am

Yeah I can’t find a place to put the code in!

Carrie Hurst September 23, 2010 at 6:28 am

I didn’t get a box to put in the code, but thought it might be on the next page, like a confirm order page or something, and it wasn’t. Oh well. It’s still not a terrible deal, and I”ve heard at diapers.com you can send them your manufacturer coupons and they will apply them to your offer.

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 6:30 am

Rats! It was just available for me before I posted. Now they pulled it off and said you can’t use coupon codes. :(

Tricia Young September 23, 2010 at 6:31 am

Crystal, Did you get it? Hope so! I’m just glad to know about such a great deal from you. Thanks for all your hard work!

Jenny September 23, 2010 at 6:32 am

@Crystal,

Aw well, you win some, you lose some! :)

Beth September 23, 2010 at 6:29 am

Plum Steal

This deal is a Plum Steal, so you can’t use any of your Plum Dollar Credits. Sorry!
———————-
I got this message. I think that’s where the coupon code should go?

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 6:30 am

They just changed it. :(

Tricia Young September 23, 2010 at 6:30 am

I’m thinking since it’s a Plum STEAL and not Plum DEAL we can’t use a coupon code b/c we weren’t offered our $5 off first purchase through them offer either. I went ahead and bought it b/c it’s a good deal I didn’t want to pass up.

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 6:40 am

@Tricia Young, I know, I was hoping people could get $10 off with the coupon code plus $5 off for a first-time order. Now that would be a smoking hot deal!

Jillian September 23, 2010 at 6:30 am

Hmmm, looks like I was too slow…it’s $20 for a $40 when I got here.

Felicia September 23, 2010 at 6:32 am

Maybe the ThredUp coupon code needs to be used at the Diapers.com website when you place your order?

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 6:39 am

@Felicia, Unfortunately, that’s a code only good for Plum District. Hopefully another deal will come along that we can use it on! I’ll keep looking!

Callie September 23, 2010 at 6:33 am

Fine Print: Vouchers may only be used on any items in the “Diapers” category (including Training, Overnight, Swim diapers)

Rachal September 23, 2010 at 6:33 am

Oh Bummer!!

Carol S September 23, 2010 at 6:34 am

No coupon code area to input for me either, and I was shocked to see there was no confirmation page after I hit submit, so it just debited my credit card for $20. I logged in to my bank account and it’s already showing up as a $20 charge.

Dawn September 23, 2010 at 8:50 am

@Carol S, I had the same thing happen to me! I was expecting to enter my credit card information, then reach a confirmation screen. Instead, I was totally surprised to see that my order had gone through. I e-mailed customer service in hopes of having the order refunded, but I doubt that can happen since I’ve already received the Diapers.com code. Sigh. That’ll teach me to pay attention :(

leah September 23, 2010 at 6:36 am

no spot for coupon code! help!

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 6:38 am

@leah, They just changed it after I posted. :( See my update on the post.

Sarah September 23, 2010 at 6:49 am

If it happens to be your first purchase at Diapers.com, you can use “BCENTER” for $10 off.

Sarah September 23, 2010 at 6:50 am

Nevermind, I just saw that vouchers can’t be combined with another offer. It’s worth a shot though.

Shannon Clark September 23, 2010 at 6:51 am

Is $20 plus $9.00 and shipping a great deal on diapers?

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 6:55 am

Shipping is free with a $49 order. So it’s just $29 for $49 worth. When I had originally posted, you could get an additional $10 off (which would have been a much better deal!), but they disabled that shortly after I posted. :(

Wendi Sisson September 23, 2010 at 7:54 am

@Crystal, are you sure it’s not free shipping for a $49 offer AFTER this discount? Meaning you might have to get $69 worth of diapers to have $49 after the discount and get free shipping?

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 8:40 am

In the past, when I’ve had a gift certificate for Diapers.com, they’ve always treated it like cash.

Janine September 23, 2010 at 7:25 am

This is still a great deal for me since we just started using cloth gDiapers and it’s hard to find good deals on cloth! Thanks!

Amanda September 23, 2010 at 7:43 am

So the $49 free shipping isn’t AFTER the voucher? I can just put $49 worth of diapers in the cart, use the voucher and pay $9 additional?

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 8:41 am

That’s how it should work!

jess September 23, 2010 at 7:46 am

so we can’t use this until after the 24th???

jess September 23, 2010 at 7:58 am

okay so i got ahead of myself! i see this now!

Ms.M September 23, 2010 at 7:46 am

FYI – if you do the pampers points program, the reward of getting $3 off for150 points redeemed for diapers.com can be stacked along with any other offers you may have. So, for example, you could buy $80 of diapers (approx. 2 large cases), get free shipping, use your Plum coupon (which essentially saves $20), and then submit as many additional Pampers codes as you have earned ($3 off each) to bring your final total waaay down. I generally wait until I’ve earned about 7-10 codes (not hard with an infant and a toddler in pull ups) to save $20-30 off my order…in all you could end up with as much as $80 of diapers for just $20! Their large cases are priced (per diaper) below retail, and the shipping is outstanding – I love diapers.com.

Wendi Sisson September 23, 2010 at 7:55 am

@Ms.M, this is great info. Thanks! I didn’t realize I could do that with my GTG points. (But how are you sure this offer can be stacked with gifts to grow offer since it says not valid with ANY other offers?)

Ms.M September 23, 2010 at 9:09 am

@Wendi Sisson, I’m guessing it’s not valid with any other plum orders, but that the Diapers.com site will accept multiple…but I don’t know, b/c I can’t try it right now. I do know that I routinely use many different individual GTG points codes to significantly reduce my order total – I just paid $35 for a $60 order of diapers and wipes, with the free 2 day shipping. I’m a working mom, so this quick turn around is really worth it to me when I find we’re getting low on diapers/wipes.

Carrie Hurst September 23, 2010 at 8:24 am

I tried to redeem my GTG points twice for two shutterfly calendars, and it told me that you can only redeem points once for a product. Is that the same for the diapers.com coupon?

Ms.M September 23, 2010 at 9:11 am

@Carrie Hurst, You can only use each code 1x, but you can use multiple codes for 1 transaction on Diapers.com. I think that was your question?

Jaci September 23, 2010 at 8:27 am

$29 for $49 worth of diapers is a pretty good deal! I’m thrilled…it’s perfect timing! We need diapers! Thanks, Crystal!

Janelle September 23, 2010 at 9:13 am

Crystal,
do you know if I used my pamper points to redeem a $10.00 off diapers.com code, would diapes.com allow me to use both codes (the one from red plum and from pampers?

Crystal September 23, 2010 at 9:24 am

From what I understand, you can’t use a coupon code in conjunction with this offer. But if you already have credits in your Diapers.com account, you may be able to apply those.

Baby Coupon Mom September 23, 2010 at 10:38 am

For those who missed the intial deal, you could try the Rite Aid Deal. Get 3 packs of Huggies diapers and make $4 (AR).

Carrie September 23, 2010 at 12:08 pm

I was too slow — it’s sold out!

Rachel September 23, 2010 at 3:12 pm

I was just on the site and they are sold out!

Rei September 24, 2010 at 7:27 am

Crystal – do you know when the thredUP coupon code expires?

Crystal September 24, 2010 at 7:56 am

I don’t. It was sent to me in an email from thredUp and had no expiration date on it.
