Tomorrow I’m going to be the ripe old age of 29. Yes, folks, just one year away from a new decade. And I still feel like I’m 17… well, minus the fact that I have three children and a few white hairs.

Well happy birthday! Also I have to laugh at the fact that you think of your self at 17. I feel like I am forever 24. I turned 24 a month after my second son was born and although time has passed (he is now 4!) I am somehow still 24 in my mind. Yay for a birthday! I always forget how old I am, I really do. When someone asks me I have to ask my husband how old he is because I know I am a year younger. The best part of this, no matter how old I get he will always be older.

I remember being 29 and having only 3 kids; look out–in a flash I turned 42 and have 7 kids.
Loved your post on hm tortillas today; the older you get and busier you are with more children, home educating and caring for a bigger family–the more you must weigh saving a couple quarters vs caring for your larger family with questions on a high school, jr high, grade school and preschool level. It is challenging!
@Julie, I can still remember being 29, but I had five kids then! Now at 37, I have six, soon to be seven. Love to see other moms that have larger families!

Because of your inspiration, we are debt free other than the mortgage and only 14 years from paying that off. That is though, if we only made the minimum payments. And we won’t ever only make minimums again!

happy birthday! i just turned 30 a little over a month ago and also have 3 kids.
fun that you are able to give other people presents for your big day! 30 is i think the age where you have to start assuming that people you meet who seem to be your age are actually YOUNGER than you, and people who seem older than you are probably really your age.

Suffice it to say I’m a couple of decades ahead of you, but find myself in some similar situations – love home educating my short people! And the added age is nothing a little consistently applied hair color can’t disguise pretty well!

Though I miss blogging on my other blogs, I’m thoroughly enjoying just teaching, nurturing and loving my children without having to feel the need to blog about what I’m doing with them. It’s helped there to be much more balance and peace in our home, too — which has been a wonderful thing!
I don’t have any immediate plans to share more about homeschooling here other than the series I recently did (though that could always change!), but feel free to email me with any questions you might have.

I love the new formate you have for simply clicking the link to the use your form. It seems like so many bloggers make you comment, tweet, facebook, follow, visit sites and report back, and 100s of other things to get your name put in the hat!! And then if you don’t do all those things you feel like you really have no chance at winning since everyone else is doing it! As a small scale blogger I understand the temptation to build up your followers by requiring these things for extra entries, but for a reader it is really REALLY annoying. Thank you for how you choose to run giveaways!!!
