Earn up to $100 for writing reviews for Shopping.com

by Crystal on September 4, 2010

Shopping.com has a promotion running where you can earn $1 for every 50-word review you write for something on their Top Product Promotion Page — up to $100. You likely don’t have 100 items off that page — or even 50 of them! — but you’ve likely used or have at least a few of them. And that’s an easy way to earn a little extra cash!

This promotion is valid until the first 10,000 reviews are received or until September 30, 2010 (11:59 PM Pacific time), so hurry and get your reviews submitted in order to qualify!

Your reviews must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Your reviews must be written in correct English
  • You must focus on the product you are writing about
  • You must only quote accurate facts
  • Your review must be original and you may not copy/paste from other websites
  • Your reviews may not contain any offending content
  • Only reviews with at least 50 words will be taken into consideration
  • Your review must not violate the Shopping.com user agreement

It looks like it would be fun to do, but I do question writing for a site that considers the Lego Space Police Freeze Ray Frenzy Set to be a health item. I found it under the Personal Care list, in the same category with cellulite slimming lotion and a toothbrush. Can the freeze rays freeze off some cellulite? If so, I give this product 5 stars!! http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Lego-LEGO-Space-Freeze-Ray-Frenzy-Set

I have done their promotions in the past. It used to be $10 for every 10 reviews. I have gotten paid via paypal 2-3 weeks after a month ended.

I saw the Lego “health” item, too. I thought this sounded pretty cool, but after going through the list, I didn’t see any products that I owned. Bummer! Wish they were looking for more general products.

Thanks for the tip! They were definately very specific items but worth a buck or two for the quick reviews!

How is a person paid for writing reviews? I established an account, but there was no area for paypal information or anything else… Will I receive communication from them?
