Bring on the glue-stick sales! Does anyone know what Walmart’s price is? The mutlipacks are often cheaper than the 2 packs. And since we seem to hav a problem with children not putting the lids back on right here, I know I need a ton of glue sticks this year!
@The Prudent Homemaker, The multipacks were more per glue stick than the 2 packs at Walmart. My Walmart had the 2 pack glue sticks for .25. They also had Crayola crayons for .25.
Just came from Walmart and saw the two packs for .30 each. I don’t remember the prices for the larger packs, but they didn’t strike me as extrordinary.
I LOVE school supply sales. Thanks!!
In my opinion, Rose Art markers are awful. It’s worth it to spend more on Crayola – they last a lot longer, and color better. They should go on sale also. Can’t say about the Rose Art pencils or glue sticks – haven’t used them.
I was at Walmart this morning and spiral notebooks are .15 each and composition books are .25 so I stocked up!
And I agree with Heather – Rose Art stinks! The quality is inferior and I have found that their so-called “washable” markers really aren’t.
Please remember that these are NOT washable. Most of the RoseArt come out of the wash, but the darker crayons will leave a stain. If they ruin a five dollar shirt, they’re no longer a bargain!!!
As a first grade teacher, please do not buy RoseArt products for your child’s school supply list. The colors do not tend to be true. I buy a lot extra supplies for my classroom when they go on sale. The Crayola and Elmer’s products will be just as inexpensive in a week or two and work so much better.
As a teacher I have to say that Roseart markers and crayons are not good quality. Stick with crayola. They’ll go on sale for the same price as the Roseart. A big fat NO on the Target glue sticks as well. They don’t work.
My Walmart had the Elmer glue sticks .25 for 2 pack also. I think the Elmer glue works better than Rose Art.
My daughter will be going to frist grade, and her school supply list says Crayola markers in specific…hopefully as mentioned above there wil be some great deals on those products soon as well!!
I also found that my Target (in PA … and my sister in VA … and my mom in NC) had all of their BLACK DOT items in the $1 Section marked at 75% off, making most items just 25c each. They had TONS of great stuff like Toy Story 3, Cars, Iron Man, etc items … craft stuff, greeting cards (8pks), toys, and even straw woven tote bags!!!
You can see everything I purchased:
