    No regional discrepancies this week I notice except the copy paper is $0.01 after rebate in my area.

    Ordered backpack online and got free shipping too! (If over $50). If you have a MyPoints account, you can earn points on this as well.

    Even though the backpack rebate SEEMS like a great deal, I was shocked to find the least expensive backpack at our neighborhood Staples was $53! I have twins that are going into 2nd grade and certainly do not need a $53 backpack! I rarely shop at Staples (unless I’m purchasing supplies for my office), so it wasn’t worth it for me to take advantage of the “deal.” I found the same exact backpack (the $53 one) at Target for $12! I also found a 12 pack of pencils at Staples for 99 cents and a box of 24 at Target for $1.00! Staples advertises in such a way to lure in the consumer. You THINK you’re getting a great deal at Staples, but the prices wind up being cheaper at Target, which surprisingly, is even cheaper than the dollar store in some cases!

      @Jodi, Our staples had a good variety of backkpacks for $20 to $30+- the price on the tag is higher than the actual price, they are all on sale 20 to 50% off. HTH someone- we got a very cute one for my 13 year old, it’s a good brand that will hold up under the weight of all the text book!

    We were able to get one. Its tag said $59.99 however they were 50% off, plus the gift card back for full price. And Avery 1″ binders that were marked $1.50 were actually .50. So hubster was happy. We are in the Detroit Metro area. You do have to check prices carefully and ask questions though.

    I’m curious how does the Easy Rebate work. I’ve never purchase anything on sale before at Staples. I don’t normally shop there.

    So would I qualify for the deals if I purchased these products:

    2 packs of Staples Bic Round Stick Ballpoint Pens (8 pk) – $0.01 (.02)
    2 reams of Staples Mulitpurpose Paper (500 sheets) – $0.04 (.08)
    2 packs of Zebra Sarasa Gel Pens (5 pk) – $0.25 (.50)
    2 packs of Staples Hype! Highlighters (6 pk) – $0.25 (.50)
    1 Double sided dry erase board/calendar – $2.00 (2.00)

    Would qualify for the deals if my purchase is technically $3.10 (but would’ve been more without the sales) – I’m confused by all of this :) Please help someone

      Some of your items are only .01 after rebate, therefore the price you are paying at the register counts toward any minimum purchase requirement. You should actually separate some of your purchases to take advantage of the limit 2 deals.

        @SJ,
        So are these instant rebates or are these like RRs (like from Walgreens) or coupons that go on a card for later.

        Basically what I am trying to say is that, am I paying $20 out of pocket and then getting $17 back on a Staples card?

        Sorry to sound like such an idiot :) I’m great at CVS, Walgreens and other stores, but never actually tried this before at Staples and other office products stores.

    The easyrebate is really very easy. All done online and trackable with the email address you used to submit them. The best part is if something goes wrong with the rebate, you still have the receipt to return the item. All the instructions are on the printouts from the register.

    did anyone find the in store coupon for the calendar/dry erase board? I couldn’t find it in store, the manager couldn’t find either. I was looking forward to that price.
